Client wanted $50/min edits… with a $5/min budget. No typo. FIVE. At first I thought she dropped a zero. NOPE. She doubled down. I quoted $45–$55/min. You know… for actual top-tier work. She hits me with: “$5–$8/min.” Ma’am… This is EDITING. Not Sunday bazaar bargaining with my mom. And it gets worse. She originally said $10–$12/min… I was angrily typing… then I saw she edited it mid-conversation to $5–$8. I burst into laugh. Because what else do you even do at that point? Let’s be honest. You don’t ask for Ryan Pictures level edits and then pay like you’re buying Canva templates. That’s a complete fantasy. And then—of course—the classic line: “This can turn into consistent weekly work.” Oh boy... I’ve read that one like 867 times. Btw what’s the most disrespectful offer you’ve ever received? 💀
