Finally had time to check my own allocation after reading about it all day on X. Honestly, I think @megaeth did a really good job with how they handled everything.
The key factors were on-chain activity, social contributions, and being an OG in the space, but @NamikMuduroglu post explains it all really well. What I really liked is how transparent they were - everyone knows the criteria, everything’s on-chain, and there’s no shady stuff going on. They even tweeted the criteria a day earlier so people knew what to expect. Because of that, there’s basically no FUD. I can’t remember another ICO or airdrop that was handled this cleanly.
About my own allocation - I expected a bit more at first, but after seeing how others did, I’m actually happy with it. Especially since I’m part of the unlocked allocation, which seems to be quite rare. Around 10% of my request got accepted.
And yeah, like @bread_ joked, if I had invested 182k, would that mean an 18k allocation? Haha, better not think about that one.
Now we wait for mainnet. I’ve tried a few apps on MegaETH and everything feels really fresh and interesting. Hopefully the team can show the new people from the ICO what MegaETH can really do - the potential is huge.
For anyone who didn’t get an allocation, there’s still a chance. There’s another 2.5% of the total supply reserved for an airdrop for 5,000 people. So if you really like what they’re building, try out the apps and show your support.
