Bums urinating in my doorway added a certain flavor. A slumlord owned the farewell. Even McDonald’s closed. Brush park was worse

@aaronkfoley A few places come to mind: Capital Park where artists & seniors were displaced for condos. Brush Park went from mansions to rentals to $1M condos. Corktown used to have affordable homes/rentals which has shot up after Ford bought the train station. West Village expanded too.

At a moment meant to celebrate every graduate, University of Michigan professor Derek Peterson used the commencement stage to make Jewish students feeling excluded, dismissed, and erased. In the interest of open debate and freedom of speech, I would like to respond to the University of Michigan professor who asked us to sing praise for “pro Palestinian protesters.” No sir. I condemn them as genocidal, jihadists. I condemn you as abusing the platform given to you and abusing the students you seek to indoctrinate rather than educate. You are not a Michigan man. You are a useful idiot for those who hate, defame and destroy Western civilization. Hail to the victors. Jail for the vicious.

This University of Michigan professor turned a graduation into a victory lap for two years of anti-Israel campus chaos. Meanwhile, another staffer openly cheered the assassination of Charlie Kirk as “prudent and rational”, and she’s still on payroll. Taxpayers are bankrolling $1.3 billion a year for this. Academia’s activist core isn’t educating; it’s grooming the next wave of radicals who see violence against conservatives or Jews as righteous. Defund these indoctrination factories before they produce a generation that cheers the republic’s collapse.

🚨 Do you want to see more garbage from the University of Michigan that you're being forced to fund? Domenico Grasso is the president of U of M. He makes a whopping $1.3 MILLION yearly. Not only does he employ professors who support Hamas terrorism, but he supports employees who celebrate the murder of U.S. citizens, such as Charlie Kirk. Lecturer and academic advisor Lydia Morris Fettig (she/her/hers) is still employed. Upon seeing Charlie Kirk murdered, she posted, "At least his death was prudent and rational." $1.3 BILLION in federal funding in 2025, and they're about to get another $1.3 BILLION this year.

Peterson was asked by the university to give congratulatory remarks to the graduates. He submitted his remarks in advance for approval. He then deviated from those remarks to praise students responsible for a wave of antisemitism at his university, including the repeated harassment of a Jewish trustee. But of course, he thinks that he is now the victim and martyr, because he is rightfully facing severe criticism for his clear misbehavior.
