So what happened in places like Northwestern New Jersey... the Poconos... Lehigh Valley... Berks... parts of Montgomery... Chester... Lancaster? Did the storm shift 50 miles east as people keep telling me? NO! We can use the current radar out of Boston to make this point and illustrate. See the bright yellows over Southeastern Massachusetts down to Rhode Island? That is very heavy snow....easily 2"+ per hour. It is also an area of frontogenesis, or rapidly rising motion. Now look to the west of it between the red lines from Lowell, Mass through Norwich Connecticut. Notice much there? No? That's because outside of that frontogenesis band is sinking air, and snow cuts off. Same EXACT thing happened last night at the height of the storm when a similar frontogenesis band set up near I-95 and the east side of I-287 in NJ. Those areas under the band got smoked. West of there... shafted for several hours. Hence the sharp drop off in totals and lower amounts. There is NO WAY to accurately depict where this sets up in advance unless you guessed right. Or hope a model is right with where it has it. The busters are out in force this morning showcasing their feeble intellect levels, but for those that want to learn something, there ya go.

@mfinneygolf I’ve got an incredibly flawed, steep, lagless swing, but messing around with the “pull the grip off the club” feel last year instantly took my driver CHS from 103 to 108 consistently. Still messing around with it.

The yellow arrow is the most important vector in the golf swing (net force). It has magnitude and direction - and in this video you can see the timing. Basically, we hold onto the club and “pull the grip off the shaft.”

If the tour was actually serious about major aspirations for The PLAYERS™️ then they’d: 1) extend invitations to P, Bryson, Rahm and a couple others for this year’s tournament. 2) not soak the golf course in the lead-up to the event. Right now, it’s just a marketing tactic.
