Should have NFL team previews complete in a few weeks. Made some edits to formatting. Here is my Bears writeup with visuals as a preview

The Timberwolves are the best basketball fit for LeBron James. C: Gobert / Beringer F: LeBron / Green F: McDaniels / Shannon G: Edwards / Dosunmu G: LaMelo / Hyland That's a filthy 10-man rotation. Everyone in the rotation besides the centers can create their own shot. They'd basically be upgrading Conley with LaMelo and Randle with LeBron. With Zikarsky, Evans, Clark, and Pullin as young depth pieces and a possible DDV return late in the year, they'd also have a deep bench. Of course, LeBron may not want to live in Minnesota. And he may not want to be the third ball handler behind Ball and Edwards. There are other factors at play. But purely from a basketball perspective, with LeBron added, this Timberwolves team might just be the favorite.

@SamQuinnCBS LeBron goes to Minnesota and they’d be gigantic underdogs to both the spurs and OKC. He significantly moves the needle more in Cle, Miami or Philly in terms of winning a title. This is all non sense

I have yet to hear a compelling argument for Philly over Minnesota as a basketball situation besides the word “East” which I just don’t think hits quite like it used to. It’s not like winters in Philly are temperate. As a basketball matter, the Wolves are clearly better imo.

I didn’t claim QBR is an all encompassing stat I was just trying to help explain the differences between the two stats u cited and why it’s not a valid/not valid discussion. Context matters a ton like u said which QB rating takes zero into account. QBR & EPA data in conjunction with down to down grading helps the most. Rating QBs is very difficult bc there are so many moving parts for sure

I appreciate the offer insight. The key points for us is that people use QBR like it’s gospel. And until ESPN reveals how it’s actually calculated (it’s not public), it holds minimal weight. Especially since it doesn’t factor in things like being pressured at the highest rate in the NFL, having the 5th-best P2S rate in relation to dropbacks under pressure, and having UDFA rookies at WR and TE.

Shedeur Sanders had an 18.9 QBR in 2025. Worst in the NFL, as many people like to point out. What’s funny is many people don’t even know what QBR is. QBR is NOT the passer rating. Passer rating is the official NFL system that’s been tracked since 1973. QBR is ESPN’s metric to track quarterbacks, developed in 2011. And guess what? It’s not a good stat to measure actual QB performance. And here’s some proof: In 2025, Shedeur started his first-career game against the Raiders and won: - 11/20, 209 yards (10.5 avg) - 1 TD, 1 INT - 1 sack (3 yards lost) - Passer Rating = 87.3 - QBR = 8.6 🤯 In 2024, Dorian Thompson-Robinson started against the Bengals and lost: - 20/34, 157 yards (4.6 avg) - 0 TD, 2 INT - 5 sacks (32 yards lost) - Passer Rating = 45.8 - QBR = 17.1 🤔 Explain to me how DTR’s QBR could possibly be almost 9 points higher than Shedeur’s? Last year, JJ McCarthy started against the Bears: - 12/19, 89 yards (4.6 avg) - 0 TD, 2 INT - 5 sacks (35 yards lost) - Passer Rating = 34.2 - QBR = 13.6 🤬 So based on QBR, McCarthy’s fart-fest against the Bears was better than Shedeur’s game against the Raiders. QBR = not a real stat.

Putting together the Bengals team preview and had to do a double take. They gave up 9 defensive TDs last season?? More than double the next team. 5 were of 60+ yard variety too. I remember a couple of them but man that's just insane work

Jimmy is not even going to play much if at all this year and even if he did that roster gets torched by SA and OKC anyways. I am sure the market will have Philly, Cle, Miami all with better title odds if he goes to any of those tms vs w/GS. Also LeBron isn’t Iguodala, he can get into any VC/AI deal he wants no matter what city on the planet he lives. Weather and flight time are all that are true on your list tbh
