Without Tarik Skubal the Tigers don’t make the playoffs the last 2 seasons. Last 2 seasons: Tigers are 24 games above.500 when Skubal was pitching. They’re .500 when he’s not. Sure, he made you angry in game 5 but let’s stop acting like the best pitcher in baseball is a bum.

Nailed it. Skubal’s obligation is to Detroit, not some exhibition tournament. Why pitch so many unnecessary stressful pitches & break routine when you’ve had the injury history he’s had? We should commend Tarik, the regular season is a hell of a lot more important than the WBC

I am willing to be wrong here (and probably am), but it makes me *insane* that you can pick your ball up out of the rough and move it to the fairway when you have some sort of stance impediment.
