@CraiG_Mc @Bradonohue4 @westley27098 I don’t understand why speed is a question; we knew he wasn’t going to break Olympic records before we drafted him. What’s more important is that I don’t think I’ve seen him give up on a chase yet, no matter how far back he is. Can be a tone setter for the team.

@PatrickRyen I don’t disagree with any of that really, but the logical follow up is how do we avoid where we got to with Archie Perkins - players getting games well beyond poor form? I like the path we’re on, but it’s a long road with some hard choices ahead.

@bromobile07 @BomberRicko Duursma was very solid in early action too. I feel like we’re missing Fiorini a lot, and Ridley would have been massive in that game too. Overall, I feel like we got smashed in the ruck, and that flowed on to getting out bodied at the stoppage, which was too much to wrest back.

@BomberRicko Edwards should be played forward. Big mistake. And we definitely over handballed it, dunno where our uncontested mark game went. Tsatas was benched. Positives for me: Caddy looked good despite goal kicking. El Hawli was great off half back. Roberts great. ADW showed signs early.

And El-Hawli looked all right down back, team-highs 9 contested possessions and 9 intercepts. Farrow was composed, too. Roberts 700 metres gained, second only to Daicos. He never gives up.

@ScooterMcNeice First three rounds in 2025 he was among the top 5 distance covered from memory. Had something like the same distance covered, and I remember being surprised by that at the time.

Day-Wicks is certainly fit. Not sure i have also seen before Ben McKay have an almost 15km distance coverage in a game.
