@JakeDav08180745 No we just have to do the basics well consistently. Im ok with being beaten when a side is just too good and out play us. Im not when we make fundamental errors consistently. That needs to improve. Im sure it will.

@PatrickRyen The good teams will punish your mistakes. They’ll happen every game, can’t do much about that. What sides can do is limit them. That’s the next phase

We made numerous, errors repeatedly which compounded and the Hawks punished us. The players have worked hard but we need to execute under pressure consistently or we will be punished. Some of those errors were glaring and to be honest not good enough. We need to make better decisions and the results and output will improve dramatically.

@PatrickRyen To me it seemed like they just weren’t ready for round 1. Which is weird cause they have 6 months to prepare. Hopefully it was just a one off and they actually show some improvement. That’s all I want this year

Id expect pressure to mount in coming weeks on players who don't execute the plan. If not the pressure will come for those who are mapping out the plan. It is round 1 though and as Ive said I expect improvement and as supporters we have every right to expect improvement from last week's output buddy.

@PatrickRyen I think one of the biggest problems at Essendon is lack of accountability and player power

@PatrickRyen That’s certainly a good point. Essendon at their best are capable of beating anybody. We just don’t see enough of it

@JakeDav08180745 The Hawks side we beat comprehensively round 1 in 2024 has had 3 personal changes since that game. Its about getting players to get synergy and to coach them to do what you want them to do. Lets hope we can in some way replicate their trajectory Jakey 🙏♥️🖤🤞
