What disappoints me most is the ICT ministry. At a time when the world is being rebuilt by technology in real time, this is one ministry that should operate with urgency, competence, and clear vision. Nations that understand the future are investing heavily in digital infrastructure, innovation, AI, and youth-driven tech ecosystems, while we still approach ICT like an afterthought. You cannot compete in a modern world with outdated thinking and slow systems. The gap between where the world is going and how seriously we are responding to it is honestly frustrating.

Being the treasurer of a group collection is the most thankless job in Uganda. You hold everyone's money. They trust you and watch you at the same time. You keep the running total in your head, or a notebook nobody else can see. One figure off at the end and you are the thief, no questions asked. Last year I watched a treasurer in our WhatsApp group hold 4.2M for a family medical bill. He dipped 80k here, 120k there for his own emergency, swearing he would replace it before payout. When the hospital called, the numbers were short. The group covered it quietly, but the trust never came back. We put the whole weight of the pool on one person's honesty and memory. Then we act surprised when it cracks. It should not have to work this way anymore.
