Thank you to Reading Canoe Club for organising Thameside 2 today. Great river levels, great people, and some great racing. Good to see so many other school crews out as well. DW could be busy this year!
Mr Strongman and Miss Dowry made the most of a long half term to join a team of strong kayakers in Scotland. So far they have been enjoying the high water levels on the Rivers Arkaig, Spean, Roy and Orchy.I’m sure they have a growing list of adventures to follow! @BryanstonCanoe
An odd Portman reference on Bournemouth Promenade? Wentworth Lodge is inland of Portman Ravine - it was built in 1872, and was the summer residence of Viscount Portman. Wentworth Lodge became a school in 1923 - now Bournemouth Collegiate School.
Day 4. The shortest, fastest stage. The most nerve racking stage. The last stage. A late start at 0930 HT Teddington. We will start in daylight. Thames traffic and a firm northwesterly could make it a bumpy run. Very bumpy. 115 finishes. 40 years. 21 podiums. #racingheritage
