This is just another scheme that Trump is forcing spineless Republicans (except the brave Indiana state senators) to do, after he demanded that all red states gerrymander election districts for the midterm election. 100% and I’ve only recently become a Republican. This is the most courageous and pro America administration in my lifetime and I’m 68. They came together at a time of desperation. I truly believe that if Kamala had been elected that it would have destroyed our country. I don’t agree with everything, but I disagree with pretty much everything coming from the Left. Here is what’s really going on with regard to the funding stalemate in Congress. ICE agents shot and killed two U.S. citizens on the streets of Minneapolis. Democrats then said: before we write you another check, agree to the same rules every police department in America already follows. Judicial warrants before entering homes. Visible ID. Body cameras. No raids at schools and hospitals. We immediately pushed for votes to fund TSA, the Coast Guard, and FEMA. Republicans blocked it. We tried to fund FEMA alone. Republicans blocked that too. Their position was to fund ICE with no strings attached, or shut the whole thing down. So DHS shut down. Then yesterday, the White House sent a letter admitting we were right. But they still won’t agree to judicial warrants or to take the masks off, which means agents can still break down your door without a judge’s approval and you still can’t see their faces when they do it. We’ve been ready to fund your airport security since day one, not to mention Coast Guard, FEMA and the rest. Republicans chose to protect ICE from accountability instead. #FundDHSFreezeICE

Funny that when you don’t require an ID to vote that it’s hard to prove fraud, but every state that did not require ID went for Kamala in the last election. Only one state that required ID went her way. But explain to me how Joe Biden got 20M more votes in his election than any other president in history regardless of party of there wasn’t wide scale fraud. I’ll wait.

Complete lie. I’m a married woman. I got married 11 years ago. I had my name legally changed in the state of WA. I got a document from the court and went to the Social Security Office and had my name changed there with no problem. I then moved to Colorado to join my new husband. I got both a new passport and a new drivers license by presenting my old id’s with my legal name changed documents from a different state. We moved to KY about4 years ago and Igot my Real ID drivers license. For some reason, they wanted to see my legal and change documents again despite my valid passport and CO drivers license. Once I provided it, I received my Real ID drivers license. No problem. I’m 68 years old. This is not a difficult thing to do. Everything I did was under previous administrations. I just renewed my passport and driver’s license in the last month. The worst thing that happened was I had to take a vision test. I was worried, but I passed. These are fear mongering scare tactics. At the end of the day, I’d do it al over again if it meant that only American citizens could vote and elections were honest. Even if my party lost, I’d take it as the will of the people if believed in election integrity. I believe this legislation will decide the future of our Country. If it fails, I don’t think we’ll ever have an honest election again.

Republicans don't have 51 in the current Senate. That's not a failure of will. That's arithmetic. The deeper problem is the process itself. Under a talking filibuster, Democrats can offer amendments endlessly. Every time one gets tabled and fails, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘴. Thune walked through what that gauntlet looks like: Epstein, Trump's tariffs, Obamacare subsidies, war powers, abortion. Brutal votes for vulnerable Republicans — and some would 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘴 and get attached to the bill. A SAVE America Act loaded with Democrat poison pills is worse than no bill at all. Harry Reid saw this. Chuck Schumer saw this. The minority almost always wins that fight. So Thune is right about the talking filibuster. But here's where I part ways with the GOP's broader timidity. It takes only 50+1 votes — a simple majority — to eliminate the filibuster from Senate rules entirely. That's it. And Republicans act like this is unthinkable, while Democrats have been openly promising to do exactly that the moment they retake the majority. Chuck Schumer has said it. Elizabeth Warren has said it. They will nuke it without a second thought the first chance they get. So the question becomes: why are Republicans preserving a procedural weapon for a minority that uses it exclusively to obstruct, block, and destroy — and that has already promised to abolish it themselves the moment the tables turn? The left isn't negotiating in good faith. They aren't using the filibuster to protect deliberation. They're using it as a wall. At some point, you stop rewarding intransigence with institutional deference. Kill the filibuster. Pass the SAVE America Act clean. Do what the American people sent you to do.
