Good morning everyone: Today is Saturday, April 19. On the eve of celebrating the triumphant resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, it occurs to me that we urgently need to start a nationwide, sustained, intense prayer for America's democracy, freedom of religion, and the rule of law. Consider beginning with a weekly prayer on Saturdays from 9 to 10 am. Brothers and sisters would pray according to their time zone from 9 to 10 am (or other times if inconvenient), starting from the East Coast and relaying across America to the West Coast. I am going to start devoting my time to prayer today. I am committed to doing this at least every Saturday, and I invite all who care about our country to do so, too. Our democracy and the rule of law are now under daily assault by the Trump administration. Trump, with his executive orders (and his tweets), is increasingly behaving like a dictator, disregarding the laws and the other two equal branches of our government. His Department of Justice is now openly defying court orders. In fact, Trump posted on his social media, calling himself "LONG LIVE THE KING!" And the White House echoed that with an added image of Trump wearing a crown. yahoo.com/news/fact-chec… Democracy actually is biblical and must be defended, for only Christ can be king, not any human, not Hitler, not Putin, not Xi, not Trump. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). God has sternly warned of the perils of having a human king (1 Samuel 8). Our founding fathers founded a democracy, not a monarchy or dictatorship. That was why our founders established three equal branches of government. The Judicial Branch is responsible for ensuring that the Executive Branch's actions, especially executive orders, do not violate laws passed by Congress (the Legislative Branch) and the Constitution. This is to ensure we do not have a tyrant precisely to guard against people like Trump. Other challenges we might want to pray about: Partisan politics in America have poisoned Christianity for too long. People have been running away from church because of the politicization of the faith. Please see my posts below for more detailed information. x.com/chiou16601/sta… x.com/chiou16601/sta… The rising Christian nationalism and its pitfalls. The separation of church and state enshrined in our Constitution ensures that all citizens can worship according to their conscience. Forced religion (like mandatory prayers in public school) is self-defeating and unbiblical, for it is not a genuine faith from people's hearts. Please see my post below for more info on this. x.com/chiou16601/sta… x.com/chiou16601/sta… (By the way, for those who are not believers but are wondering if God exists and have other questions regarding Christianity or religions in general, please check my post below about this subject.) x.com/chiou16601/sta… Historically, many spiritual revivals, such as the one by Mr. Charles Finney in the nineteenth century in the Northern states of America, were preceded by united, earnest, and persistent prayers by many Christians across the states at their time. (Charles Finney, “Autobiography of Charles G. Finney – A Life Time of Evangelical Preaching to Christians Across America, Revealed,” Pantianos Classics, P. 249.) Let us do our part for our generation. Lord willing, the Holy Spirit will unleash His divine, omnipotent power to protect and heal our land.

I prosecuted the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, and then Donald Trump himself. One week after he took office again, he fired me. Now I’m running for Congress to defend our democracy and restore the rule of law.

Thank you for your comments. It is good to know from your bio that you are a Christian; I am also a husband, father, and, in fact, also a grandfather. Since you have accused me of many sins, I hope you are sure of them, because you know we will all be judged at the Judgement Seat of Christ for what we said and did when the time comes. I have no problem letting Him judge me, since He is perfect and fair. I really do not need to answer every one of your accusations. But just so that it may help you, I will do some. Regarding school prayer, I am not opposed to voluntary prayer. I am not “opposing ALLOWING prayer” as you accuse me. But we need to be careful because the so-called Christian Nationalists are advocating mandatory prayers. Jesus never forced us to accept Him. That would not be genuine. This mandatory thing will actually harm the cause of Christianity and go against what our founding fathers fought for. (Could this be something you should repent for falsely accusing people? You do not need to apologize to me; it is not important. But you might want to repent before God, lest you have to answer for it later.) You said, “Trump jokes about being king”. But his actions tell otherwise. Many of his executive orders are illegal and have been ruled so by the Courts. As for abortion, I personally believe life begins at conception, as the Scripture says. But should it be decided by the family and the doctors or mandated by the Government? It is not as simple as some would think. People have died in red states tragically because doctors were afraid to render help when their lives were in danger. I have posted about this subject for a more detailed discussion. You might want to check my pinned post for the links. I do pray every Saturday as I have promised. And I do pray for our government officials, too. But keep in mind that the Scripture says God instituted government to act as His servant for the good of the people, specifically to maintain order, punish wrongdoers, and act as an agent of wrath against evil (Romans 13:1–7). When a ruler acts against God’s mandate and abuses his power, and actually engages in wrongdoing himself, then prayer is not for this person to continue sinning but for God to rein him in. That is the prayer I am calling for. Have a great and blessed weekend.

Nobody is forcing anyone to pray in schools against their will. Trump jokes about being king because you TDS afflicted leftists lose your minds when he does. Look at you claiming authority from the Bible but opposing ALLOWING prayer in schools as existed decades ago! Wow to you false prophet with a lying tongue! Bearing false witness is a sin. Repent. Did you speak out against every wretched perverse abomination pushed by the last administration? Democracy is mob rule and is not supported by the Bible or the Founders who guaranteed a Republican form of government (Constitutional Representative Republic, not Democracy) Democracy sentenced Jesus Christ to death. His rights would have been protected in a Republic. If your opposition is because you are “progressive”, again I say Woe to you false prophet! Supporting child murder in the womb is sin. Repent. Supporting child mutilation in agreement that God made a mistake with his he made someone is a sin. Repent. We are in a battle of Good v Evil, and you support evil because you are deceived. Are you still praying every Saturday? Do you pray for your leaders as the Bible commands? The Bible says authority is bestowed upon rulers by God. Not once did Jesus Christ speak against Pilate. He told Pilate, “the only reason you have authority is from my Father.” How deceived you are that you would believe that the previous president got 81,000,000 votes, and follow the lying tongue of a former CIA professional liar. Repent.

It is past time that non-partisan, true evangelicals call out the hypocrisy of some Republican Christians who still support such a character as Trump. Some Republican Christians have been using selective sins (such as abortion and homosexuality) to claim the moral high ground as political wedge issues, while ignoring Trump’s despicable, immoral behavior (assaulted women and lies constantly, for example) and un-Christian public policies (like cutting health care for the poor and working people), let alone openly inciting a violent attack on our Congress. The essence of Christianity is not about a particular sin we use to accuse our political foes, but about “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) Jesus loves us all, whether we are Democrats, Republicans, or Independents. All need salvation; all can have it if they repent and accept his saving grace (John 3:16).

I do agree that Europe should assume greater responsibility for its defense. They have been enjoying our protection while giving their citizens universal health care; at the same time, many Americans are struggling to afford to see a doctor. However, Trump has been insulting our NATO allies and questioning the need for collective defense. His threat to take over Greenland, the territory of Denmark, a NATO ally, by force, "whether they like it or not,” is absolutely what Putin would love to see. His behavior has damaged the trust between Europe and the US. It is not surprising that many of them refuse to help him protect the Strait of Hormuz.

America’s real strength has never been just its power—it’s that our allies choose to stand with us. When we weaken those ties, we weaken ourselves. In a world shaped by rising authoritarian powers, partnership isn’t a luxury. It’s a core strategic advantage—and we’re eroding it.

One of Jesus' ministries was to heal the sick, in addition to casting out demons and preaching the coming kingdom of God. Many major industrialized countries have universal healthcare while maintaining a vibrant capitalist economy (it is not "socialism" or “communism”), such as Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Japan, and even Taiwan—72 countries in total. wisevoter.com/country-rankin… It is a shame, given that we are the world's most powerful and richest country.

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV enrages MAGA world by declaring that "universal health coverage" is a "moral imperative" for society — destroying Republican talking points in a single blow. This is what real moral leadership sounds like... “Universal health coverage is not merely a technical goal to be achieved; it is primarily a moral imperative for societies that wish to call themselves just,” said Leo. The leader of the Catholic Church — a staunch opponent of the casual cruelty and apathy towards suffering that defines modern conservative movements — was speaking at at conference about healthcare inequality organized by the European bishops' council, Italian bishops' conference, and the World Health Organization. “Health cannot be a luxury for the few,” he said, because it “an essential condition for social peace.” “Healthcare must be accessible to the most vulnerable, not only because their dignity requires it but also to prevent injustice from becoming a cause of conflict,” the pope added. The speech was a potent counter-argument to the austerity measures favored in the United States, where countless Americans regularly go bankrupt due to medical debt. Democrats have long pushed for expanding healthcare, while Republicans oppose it on "fiscal responsibility" grounds when in reality they just want to funnel more money to the rich through plutocratic tax cuts and costly foreign wars. Pope Leo said that eliminating healthcare inequalities will be especially helpful to younger generations battling mental health "because invisible psychological wounds are no less severe than those that are visible." He warned that"distance, distraction and desensitization to the sight of violence and the suffering of others lead us toward indifference." "Yet all men and women, especially Christians, are called to fix their gaze on those who suffer: on the pain of the lonely, on those who for various reasons are marginalized and considered 'outcasts,' " he added. "For without them, we cannot build just societies founded on the human person." Predictably, right-wingers on social media are condemning Leo as a "communist" for daring to suggest that wealthy, modern, civilized nations should take care of their sick. What do you think? Please ❤️ and share if you support Pope Leo!

@McFaul I am afraid that Trump is ceding Europe to Putin and Asia to Xi. He then makes himself a real dictator, like Putin and Xi, whom he admires. America must do its best to protect our democracy and the rule of law. I believe it is still not too late.

MASSIVE BOMBSHELL: DAN GOLDMAN UNLEASHES TRUTH! Congressman Goldman just went live with FBI 302 receipts. Evidence shows Trump unzipped his pants, forced a 13-year-old’s head down, and when she bit his p*nis in self-defense, he punched her and called her a "B." The FBI interviewed her FOUR times while the case was buried. Pam Bondi lied to Congress, claiming “no evidence” of these crimes while sitting on files describing this exact assault. This is perjury and a cover-up for a predator. You don’t get to "save the kids" while your AG hides files of a child being beaten for fighting back. History will remember the enablers. We stand with the children who bit back.
