Trump Accounts are officially live! This initiative gives families a simple and secure way to kick start their child’s financial future. Thanks to @POTUS and the One Big Beautiful Bill, investment opportunities have been expanded for the next generation of Americans.

One year ago, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law, delivering the largest tax cut for working and middle-class families in American history. As the Senate @BudgetGOP Chairman, I was proud to lead this effort alongside my Senate and House Republican colleagues. By making the 2017 tax cuts permanent, we stopped a $2,300 tax increase on the average South Carolina family – all without a single Democrat vote. We also ended taxes on tips and overtime and delivered no taxes on Social Security benefits for over 35 million seniors. The One Big Beautiful Bill also codified core components of @POTUS' agenda. Through a generational investment in border security, we put an end to Joe Biden’s open border. We also allocated extensive resources for law enforcement, expanded access to school choice, phased out Green New Deal subsidies and delivered billions of dollars for rural hospitals. Twelve months later, we are now observing transformational results stemming from this legislation. Working families are keeping more of their hard-earned money, providing relief to the lingering inflation ignited under the Biden era. The border is at its most secure point in history with zero illegals released into the country over the past year. Crime is falling to a record low as police departments receive the tools they need to keep communities safe. As we celebrate the past 250 years of American independence, we also recognize the great strides toward a more prosperous and secure future unleashed by this landmark legislation.

I had a very productive meeting with @SecWar Pete Hegseth and his very talented team. I told Pete that I’ve never been more proud of the men and women of the U.S. military -- and the civilians who support them -- than I am right now.   Secretary Hegseth has done an outstanding job, in my opinion, dealing with Iran and beyond. We discussed the urgent need to plus up the military budget to deal with replenishing and restoring our stockpile of weapons and other one-time expenses being incurred by constant conflict. I suggested $355 billion.   I told Secretary Hegseth that I would be pushing for a supplemental appropriations bill with funds for the military and other needs of the country. Any shortfall between the supplemental and the $355 billion could be made up in reconciliation 3.0.   Secretary Hegseth is a big proponent of another reconciliation bill for the Department of War, as is @POTUS. As Senate Budget Committee Chairman, I will be working with Senate leadership, @BudgetGOP, the Department of War and the White House to see if we can get this process moving as expeditiously as possible. In my view, time is of the essence. We cannot turn our backs on an historic opportunity to help the Department of War at a time of multiple conflicts. Stay tuned.

We did it! The Secure America Act is now the law of the land.   As Chairman of @BudgetGOP, I led the charge to fully fund @ICEgov and @CBP through President Trump’s term. The American people gave us a mandate to secure the border and end Joe Biden’s illegal immigration invasion. I’m pleased to have delivered a product that fulfills our promises on these issues.   With this historic level of funding, we won’t go back to the failed policies of the Biden Administration. Instead, we’re moving forward to a brighter and more secure future.

I applaud my House Republican colleagues for their swift passage of the Secure America Act. Despite Democrat efforts to shut down ICE and Border Patrol, Republicans have now fully funded these agencies through President Trump’s entire second term to the tune of nearly $70 billion. Thanks to President Trump, our border has gone from its weakest point to its most secure point in less than two years. This bill fulfills the mandate given to us by the American people and ensures we won’t go back to the failed immigration policies of the Biden Administration. Well done to @POTUS, @SpeakerJohnson, @LeaderJohnThune and all involved in getting this legislation over the finish line.

Senate Republicans delivered yet again by approving $69.5 billion to fund Border Patrol and ICE through President Trump’s entire second term. We were forced to use the reconciliation process because Democrats objected – during the appropriations process – to giving any money to Border Patrol and ICE, effectively shutting our border security down at a time of growing threats to the nation. As Budget Committee Chairman, I’m very proud of my Republican colleagues for sticking together and making sure that Border Patrol and ICE are fully funded and the border continues to be modernized and secured – all without one Democrat vote. In less than two years, President Trump has taken the border from the most broken to the most secure in history. The bill we passed today locks those gains in through the rest of his term. Well done to President Trump and my Republican colleagues.

Senate Republicans are bypassing Democrats to fully fund ICE and Border Patrol for the rest of @POTUS’s term.  Democrats want to abolish these agencies because—just like they did for four years under Biden—Democrats want to allow unlimited illegal aliens into the country.

Right now Democrats are fighting us into the night to block funding for the agencies that secure our borders and keep violent illegal aliens out of our country. Americans haven’t forgotten what our country looked like under Democrat rule. Republicans are fighting to restore law and order, secure the border, and keep your family safe.

Senate Democrats will spend today fighting to block funding for federal law enforcement officers who leftist agitators are attacking in the streets. Democrats are for chaos and violence. Republicans are for safety and security.

Today’s Democrat Party has turned its back on America’s safety and security. They opened the border and abandoned our communities to corruption, chaos, and illegal immigrant criminals. Republicans stand for a safe and secure America. Republicans will not back down.

Today, Senate Republicans will fund federal law enforcement, including the agency that defends our homeland and protects our borders. We are having to do this through an arcane process because Senate Democrats are unwilling to enforce our immigration laws and always side with illegal aliens over American citizens. They will offer a long series of unrelated amendments intended to sabotage the process. Their desperation to put foreign criminals above the security of the United States should be met with disdain and a united Republican vote to squash their grotesque agenda.

In the Senate today, we are voting on narrow legislation to fund Border Patrol and ICE. These agencies defend and protect Americans. I encourage my Democrat colleagues to join @SenateGOP in voting for this bill. Getting this done is critical to our national security.
