@buffer why are all of my images coming up not valid? Issues from several different sites I’ve used many times

I'm so sorry, Kelly! Images posted to X through Buffer need to be 5MB or smaller - can you confirm yours fall within that? I checked your account but am not currently seeing any errors (totally understand if you're running into the issue during composition). @buffer I'm having issues adding images. It says the images are too large. I have never had this issue before.

@StefanW Hi Stefan, I'm so sorry - we have an open bug for this. By any chance is this happening when you hit "publish now"? If so, can you try scheduling it 5 minutes out and seeing if you run into the same error? -Lexi

@buffer Could you fix the bug — it is annoying: "There appears to be an issue with the attached media or link attachment. This could be due to the file being too large or connection timing out. Please try removing the media or link attachment and try the post again."

Hi Jacob, so sorry about this - that's definitely not right! A few troubleshooting steps to try: try in an incognito window; temporarily turn off your VPN if using one; disable extensions and turn them back on one at a time to see if one is creating a conflict (commonly an adblocker or antivirus add-on); try a different browser. Can you let me know if any of those do the trick? -Lexi

@buffer you are probably the most useful tool I use, but I am desperately waiting to go to bed, and I've been waiting 20 minutes for this 44.7 MB video to upload. Why is uploading videos so slow?

@Buffer I love your scheduler but right now I am so frustrated. Over and over I keep getting an error saying "the provided image does not appear to be valid" for images I have scheduled with Buffer many times! (Not on here much any more, but please fix this!)

@buffer Hello, thanks! The problem seems to have gone away—I’ve not experienced it since yesterday midday GMT. it was intermittent, so less likely to be a code issue.

@buffer Hello! Using the most recent iOS app, I get random, but frequent “whoops, the image provided does not appear to be valid” when saving a post (new, or after editing). After a few more attempts it eventually succeeds without error (within minutes, but sometimes longer).

@altryne @n8n_io @typefully We're an official partner with X, so we have to follow specific rules. Other third party apps are sometimes not using the official API (I'm not sure about them specifically, of course!). Longer videos is definitely something we wish we could offer! -Lexi

@buffer @n8n_io I don't see this limitation in @typefully 🤔 I uploaded very long videos via them.

Testing out the in-app new Codex browser. It's pretty cool, like computer use, but feels faster, and more precise than controlling an external browser. 5.5 even on high just RIPS with /fast on there. here it rips through setting up an @n8n_io integration with @buffer (cause buffer cannot do videos over 140s on X 😡 What kind of old ass limitation is that)

@andrsnu I'm afraid it's not on the roadmap at the moment, @andrsnu! We decided to sunset it a few years ago, and don't have plans to bring it back. It warms my heart to know that you still enjoy it! (though, sorry for the staleness 🙈) -Julia

Any chance you bringing back rmix @buffer ? I think I am the only one still using it, but some features are looking a bit stale.

YouTube is a long game. Instagram and TikTok give you quicker wins. YouTube takes months of consistency before things compound. But when they do, nothing else comes close for shelf life. Keep showing up!

A few more things that actually work: – Put keywords in titles, descriptions, tags, and spoken dialogue – Repurpose long-form into Shorts (and use them to test new ideas) – Post long-form in the morning, Shorts in the evening – The first 30 seconds decide everything
