@maddierune I don't have children, but I am an uncle,godfather, and sponsor to several. They are amazing. Just yesterday, the 1 year old grabbed my hand, and we went on adventure ( it wasn't far, but she needed to investigate things, haha)

I’m grateful for my children in a way that feels like something quiet & old inside me sits up straighter every time I hear their small, curious voices. And yes, there’s that bone deep fear of harming what’s delicate. But then they say something so startlingly full of wonder that I realize they’re already building worlds inside themselves that I can’t break. Worlds I’ll never enter, only guard. They’re sturdier, stranger & more luminous than we give them credit for. As parents, all we can do is protect the doorway while they grow.
