@doctimcook Totally agree as a doctor & as parent of a teenager going through chemo. Not impressed recently when phoning our local unit to get no introduction on phone. I had to ask who am I speaking to, ward clerk, nurse or doctor. It frustrates me at work too.

Hello my name is…. Time to include full name, title & role Patients need to know who is treating them. Colleagues need to know who they’re talking to. This is increasingly so as workforce changes mean roles may be opaque! Equally important in ‘flash teams’ in acute care situations. bmj.com/content/388/bm…

@charlot_summers This is shocking. One comment I hate is that to be a female ICM consultant you have to be a strong person to deal with all it entails. It is depressing that female consultants still make the minority in the team.
