Across 21 edition series (160 pieces in total), @MelzieQ has 70 unique collectors (excluding originals). 5 wallets have built positions of 7+ pieces. 44% of collectors own multiple items – whether stacking one series or spreading across many. In this context, a high percentage signals continuity. Collectors are building portfolios and supporting the artist over time.

Did you know? Both @OrdinalMaxiBiz and @BitcoinPuppets only have a single top whale each with over 1% of the supply. Out of 5140 OMB holders, 4139 own a singe item. Out of 5994 Puppet holders, 4753 own a single item. Yet they only have 573 holders in common 🤯

112,384 Runestones are currently held in 63,667 wallets. The most widely distributed ordinals collection by far!
53,274 single item holders, 1965 whales (6+ items).
Nakamoto coefficient: 8,975 wallets are required to control 50% of the supply.
Due to the large supply, the top 50 holders only own 8.3% of the collection, and the top holder 0.57%.
Runestones were initially airdropped to 112,383 eligible wallets in March 2024. Holder count halved since, with the main accumulation event being the $DOG airdrop in April 2024.
The holder map is an artwork in itself, representing a large portion of the ordinals user base.

Fetched some data and crunched some numbers.
Two+ years after the Runestone airdrop:
30,197 wallets never moved their Runestone (26.9% of the 112,383 original recipients).
Of those, 15,537 also never moved their 889,806 $DOG.
➡️ 13.8% of original Runestone recipients haven't touched their Runestone + DOG. Could be higher if including self-transfers, these numbers only look at dormant UTXOs.
