🎉 From all of us here at Split Perspectivz CIC T/A The @BuilderBookUk thank you so much for supporting us and helping us reach our communities. 🥳 I'm delighted to announce that we won the Improving Education and Learning Award last night at the #LCRCultureAwards in the Floral Pavillion. This recognition reminds me that we must continue honing, growing, and delivering to the people who need our resources most. This is a win for our voluntary board, Jude Lennon - Alex Cousins - Geoff Stevenson - John Sacker FRSA MCIPR - Lisa Mitchell - Adam Birch - & Michelle Karalius who work tirelessly to get these resources to Merseyside, Cheshire and Flintshire families. It was a moving evening. It is a win for the companies and organisations who support us to enable us to create this change. I will reach out to all our friends in other categories to congratulate them during the day. So many fantastic organisations were represented last night. Thanks so much to Liverpool City Region Combined Authority @_billyhui Kamal Choudhary and Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham.

Very proud this morning to see that a member of our @BuilderBookUk’s daughter 'Livvy K' has released an EP, Finally Free Finally Me. Some of you will have heard Livvy on @LiverpoolLiveRD on Friday, thanks to a great plug from our Roy Basnett. Livvy was in a band aged 14/15 that I used to mange called Solar Flame. Now the 23-year-old independent music artist from Scarisbrick, Lancashire, is shaking up Manchester’s music scene! Blending pop, R&B, dance, and experimental sounds, she crafts infectious hooks with an unexpected edge. On stage, she’s electric—feeding off the crowd’s energy and leaving a lasting impression with every performance. With a fearless approach to music, Livvy is quickly carving her path. Her debut EPis a deeply personal journey through love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Backed by Youth Music, this project is raw, real, and ready to hit you in the feels—stream it now on all platforms! Livvy K made a statement opening for Morgan on her UK tour in Manchester, where fans sang her lyrics back to her—an unforgettable moment. She also co-hosted the Youth Music Awards 2024, rubbing shoulders with industry giants and securing her spot in the scene as well as being names as a Youth Music One to Watch for 2025! 🥳 GREAT NEWS ALERT!!! 🎉 From all of us here at Split Perspectivz CIC T/A The @BuilderBookUk Project, we are delighted to be finalists in the 2025 Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Liverpool City Region Culture and Creativity awards under the categories of #Environment and Improving #Education and Learning with our Builder Book Planet Pack campaign. The event, now in its sixth year, is made possible through the Metro Mayor’s ongoing commitment to cultural activities across the Liverpool City Region. The annual awards are returning to the Wirral, which hosted the first ceremony in 2019. Improving enjoyment and engagement with learning and inspiring youngsters and their families via #creativity and #innovation is what we are passionate about, and this recognition has made us so proud of our team, our partners, collaborators, volunteers, settings, and, of course, the children who make it all happen. We are a true community. These pictures show only the tip of the iceberg of the great community work around sustainability we have been doing and enjoying this year. Thank you to everyone who has been with us on this journey and continues to support us repeatedly. We are in great company in these categories, with many organisations who also deserve a huge amount of respect for what they do for their communities, including Future Yard CIC, Green Bibliofest, Liverpool Sound City Limited, Strawberry Field, Open Eye Gallery, and so many more. I am still unable to form words that do Wednesday night justice, but WOWSER! may be the closest one. The entertainers, the children and families, my treasured family and friends, my colleagues and supporters, our volunteers and creatives, my team, all together in one place, seeing first hand what love, creativity and community can do. If you were at #PlanetPack Builder Book Launch at Shakespeare North Playhouse you'll know what I mean when I say the atmosphere of magic, encouragement, passion and love created an energy all of its own, and gave a great and warm platform for the children and their ideas to be seen and heard. I was beyond exhausted yesterday, and I know I didn't even see a few of you, but having just had a first look at the photos from Ray Farley I felt like at last I got to see the bits I missed, the little conversations and connections happening, while Jude Lennon and I buzzed about fixing stuff. But thank you so much to everyone who has supported, and everyone who braved the apocalyptic rains to come and spend the evening with us. Its important we celebrate our young people and their families. Giving and being kind to each other is a precious elixir. In a world where mental health is at an all time low, try being kind and supportive to others and see what happens. For me, it became a potion more potent than any pharmaceutical company could bottle up. Kindness leads to happiness. Don't take my word for it, try it! Look at these little faces. What an incredible legacy Natasha Ellis has created for our Planet Pack Campaign ❤️ Her mosaic mural will be a long lasting memory of our Project and we know it will be enjoyed in its new home at Shakespeare North Playhouse for many years to come.

Yesterday, it was a privilege to talk about social enterprise with a group of amazing small business owners in #TheLoop at Arthur’s, Hoylake. It was lovely to hear from the mayor and mayoress of Wirral about the wonderful developments in the pipeline, exciting things for Wirral and Wirral businesses. Our hosts @RoyBasnett and @simonobtv1 invited Vice Lord Lieutenant Ruth Hussey and the Mayor of Knowsley Cllr Ken McGlashan to officially open the Builder Book Planet Pack event. Their speeches highlighted why our project is so important for children and families in the Liverpool City Region. We thank them for taking the time to attend and support our event.

It's a wonderful opportunity to see the winning entries for our Innovation Competition. You can also see all the entries. There was such a lot of talent.

Oh what a night! A wonderful way to wrap up the @BuilderBookUk Planet Pack Project.

Phew! It’s been some week for the @BuilderBookUk team. One minute we are literally rushed off our feet for our collaboration with Shakespeare North Playhouse on Wednesday night. Then the following night we are at the Merseyside Independent Business Awards as we were finalists in the Best Creative Business category. It was an incredibly strong line up. Congratulations to the winners My Cardium AI and well done to all the businesses who won or who were finalists. Last night was a mixture of pride, a deep sense of joy and yes, relief in seeing the @BuilderBookUk Planet Pack event at Shakespeare North Playhouse come to fruition. I’ll be sharing more about last night shortly but meantime, Jude Lennon and I are going to savour what happened. As you can see from this photo, we were glowing at witnessing all the community beneficiaries, businesses and friends in the room all celebrating with us ❤️

YOU ARE WHO YOU MIX WITH RIGHT? I'm big on the belief that you become like the people you spend the most time with including the mentors you follow. That's our beliefs, our habits, our health, our lifestyles, even our incomes...can all be powerfully influenced by our social network. This brings me to speak about Gillian Ashcroft. Gillian has worked extremely hard to make positive change in this world and in particular, to the lives of the most vulnerable adults and children in the UK. In 2023, she was ranked 6th top Social Care Leader nationally. Knowing Gillian, she will only settle once she improves this. She is a born winner but I also know that 2024 for her is about consistently progressing to further achieve the desired outcomes of her purpose - primarily, the much needed reform to the Health and Social Care Sector.
