Tldr on why we invested in @getgrass_io pre-seed right after FTX imploded: - before getting into crypto I ran a social media SaaS company for 10 years - we were power users of tens of thousands of residential proxies (i.e home internet connections) - residential proxies are basically like digital gold for things like web scraping, automation, etc… - incumbents in the space were and still are printing billions using shady practices - the grass team had the vision to build the decentralized BrightData - instead of having their bandwidth unknowingly stolen from them grass would reward them fairly through a decentralized incentive network - we figured if they can even achieve a % of that vision then it’s a multi billion $ opportunity - tack on recent developments in the AI space and the vision became even larger I remember the first pitch with @0xdrej @BeepboopMichael @gordythegiga and thought this was one of the most practical uses of crypto I’ve ever seen so no surprise seeing such strong product market fit 🚀
