Ross Edgley is a f*cking beast - First person to swim around Great Britain - First person to swim around Iceland - Longest continuous river swim - Run a marathon while pulling a car - Rope-climbed the height of Mount Everest nd more crazy sh*t …and more crazy sh*t He is the perfect combination of strength and endurance Enduring cardio for several days but doing gymnastic rings muscle-ups with a 20 kg weight on his waist Some of his strategies: - Focusing on daily tasks, not the final goal - Understanding that our brain is just signalling discomfort, doesn’t mean we can’t keep going - Proper stimuli, especially unpleasant - Heavy strength training - big on mechanotransduction - Delusional optimism during adversity Even though he doesn’t train for hypertrophy only, he gets absolutely jacked from giving muscles a proper stimuli This is the definition of being in your prime Ross ends up motivating people to do hard stuff He was one of the reasons why I am attempting my first half marathon, next week, I want to add a little variable and go in a fasted state Let’s go!
