Reports from Arab media is that the US embassy in Saudi Arabia was struck by 3 Iranian drones.
Another vital piece of infrastructure gone. Furthermore, this is a direct attack on US soil. The US embassy is sovereign US soil.
🚨 Stephen Miller just went HARD against those insinuating Fauci was "Trump's guy"
"President Trump was the one who questioned the origins of COVID.
President Trump is the one who questioned the need for requiring every single American to be tested over and over and over again.
He's the one who questioned whether we should require children and healthy adults to be subject to restrictions for an illness that primarily targets the elderly and the sickness."
"President Trump saved America from a Great Depression by fighting against those who wanted to shut down the schools and shut down our way of life. He fought to REOPEN the government."
"And if you remember, the Biden campaign in 2018, 2020 spent hundreds of millions of dollars demonizing President Trump for fighting to keep America open at every single step, every day the news cycle was the so called health care establishment attacking President Trump for questioning the experts."
The United States just sanctioned two specific companies... and oh BOY are they interesting:
Persian Gulf Marine Insurance Company
HormuzSafe Marine Services Authority
This is a very clear move from Treasury that the United States has no intention to let Iran collect fees of ANY kind in the Strait of Hormuz.
Just last month, the United States sanctioned the Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA), which sought to formalize the "Tehran Toll Booth". Obviously, as many now are well aware, "tolls" were very unlikely to fly under international law, and the now uncovered PGMIC and HormuzSafe were clearly an attempt by Iran to set up formal entities in efforts to ramp up their ability to collect "fees" from vessels under a potential MOU.
PGMIC was established under the Central Insurance of Iran, and the insurance covers "risks" such as vessel seizures, while HormuzSafe explicitly advertises as a company offering "trusted maritime services, including insurance, traffic control, security, and emergency response." Also notable is the fact that HormuzSafe, established under Iran's Ministry of Economy, "accepts payment in Bitcoin and other digital assets".
By sanctioning these two entities, the United States is drawing a clear line in the sand to Iran: We have no plans to let you make ANY money in the Strait.
@mitchellvii Oil will be at 180 of this isn’t wrapped up so - inflation is going to increase and rates are gonna go higher. We have a 40 trillion dollar bar tab. Trumps an idiot.
If the IRGC would fire missiles at a U.S. base during the middle of peace negotiations, they would definitely use a nuke if they had it.
Let's not be naive here. President Trump is doing what must be done.
@VigilantFox You cannot make an opening statement claim all sorts of things then claim the 5th on everything . You cannot use the 5th as a sword and a shield.
CNN's Erin Burnett asks an NYU law professor if Fauci is in real trouble after pleading the Fifth 111 times.
His answer: It made things WORSE.
BURNETT: "112 times to invoke the Fifth Amendment. I mean, you can't even string all that together… Will that strategy work? Because he says, well, 'I had to do that because, you know, they're looking for perjury traps,' or does that just make it worse and is he in real trouble?"
GOODMAN: "I think it makes it worse. It's even a curious way in which you wonder what his legal advice was, why they decided to do that. Because he does not face criminal jeopardy for the pardon. In all likelihood, he's pardoned for all actions before January 2025. But that also means that you're forced to testify."
"That's how prosecutors use immunity or pardons. And they say now you're forced to testify because you don't have any criminal liability… So then to plead the Fifth is actually he could then be held in contempt. There could be theoretically, at least, a Justice Department that goes after him for not answering when he is not really facing that criminal charge."
BURNETT: "And also when the reason [to plead the Fifth] is perjury traps... to the layperson, it's saying, well, 'Why wouldn't you just say the truth? What would be the problem in that?' So... it doesn't sound good."
Maybe the hardest truth to accept is that we never really had a Republican Party, at least not one that truly represented us, we had the illusion of one.
@Midnight_JJ0@barnes_law I’m pissed but by god I’m not setting this one out. I’ll vote for every Trump endorsed candidate that I can. I hope republicans keep majorities and we will continue to force the House and Senate to pass Trumps agenda.
@jsolomonReports John some inconvenient facts 1 Iran never directly attacked the USA . 2. Congress never declared war. 3 we are 31 days past the 120 allowed by the war powers act 4 we don’t have a mutual defense treaty with Israel.
