People have wildly different definitions for what “vibe coding” actually means. Over time I suspect it will simply become a slur.

The first piece of software I built was in 2004 for AMG data. It pulled 13f reports and parsed them for mutual fund flow tracking. My weeks were done by noon on Monday. The owner made lots of dough. I enjoyed my lunches at 6Rivers. Vibed the shit out of that one.

I'm 22 years old and Claude Code is deteriorating my brain. Every single day for the last 6 months I've had 6 to 8 Claude Code terminals open, waiting for a response just so I can hit 'enter' 75% of the time. And it's doing something to me. In convos with a couple of friends, it's been a point that's been brought up pretty frequently. None of us feel as sharp as we used to. I don't know if it's just us, or others in their 20s are feeling the same thing, but it's something I've been thinking about a lot. P.S. I know this is a problem with my reliability/usage of it, not Claude Code itself, but the effects are real nonetheless

As weird as it sounds, the Jedi Survivor games have a great blend of exploration and guard rails. I opine that SAAS should be the same, engineered balance for each domain. Flexible for domain specific workflows but gaurded so the user isnt paralyzed with options.

Request for startups: I want an AI agent that plugs into my slack, email, Attio, LinkedIn, granola, etc. tracks all correspondence with our pipeline + potential prospects — and then reminds us to follow-up if we haven’t heard back from them and ingests all relevant context

@follard Austin's food scene is getting much better all around, but Houston is legitimately world-class. Bagels anywhere but NYC will always be sub-par, but these are my current rankings for ATX: 1) Wholy Bagel 2) Nervous Charlies 3) Rosen's 4) David Doughies 5) Rockstar

Austin has an incredible food scene and one that is so different from other US markets. Where else is the best food often served out of a trailer or food truck? Where else can you eat a Michelin star meal at a picnic table? But there is a missing piece: our bagels suck.
