2023. It was raining heavily and I was fond of picking people up and dropping them off. I picked this lady that was drenched in the rain, going to China Town bus stop from Zik Avenue. If you know Enugu, you’d know this place. The only conversation in the car was when I picked her and asked, “Nne, kedu ebe ina aga?” Meaning, “Where you dey go?” She said China Town. We got to China Town and I stopped, waiting for her to come down. She said I will pay her for using her. Brethren, I was confused. I said, “Pay you how?” This lady told me if I don’t give her 5k, she will shout and tell people that I booked her as an ashawo and refused to pay. I’m popular in Enugu, and they know me as a married man. I begged this lady she refused. I checked my pigeon hole and found 3k there, gave it to her, and she came down and said i am lucky. Since then, even if trailer dey on top your head, I am never stopping for anyone again. I can never forget that day
