@Bullock_Smithey @JamesPThomson @Paulabrahams1 @OntheBeachUK So been here about an hour, the hotel is spotless and they've repaired the kids area completely. Bloke behind desk informed us thst the land either side of the hotel is burnt but you'd never know from the hotel other than a fsint smell in the air.

@twirlyswirl79 @mitsishotels We are just sticking to the Mitsis Rodos now, alternative options were didn’t look as good. Fingers crossed we have a good time! And won’t be using @OntheBeachUK again, one of the worst companies I have ever had the misfortune to use.

@Bullock_Smithey @mitsishotels I emailed customer services at OTB then received a message in the app the following day offering the alternative hotel. Hope that helps?

@mitsishotels We have been moved from Mitsis Rodos to Mitsis Alila. I have the app, but it's still showing the original hotel. Could this be amended on the app so that I can change/transfer restaurant bookings please?

@Bullock_Smithey @mitsishotels We go on Saturday. Had an email on Friday saying we would be offered alternative accommodation, went on to the chat and they said they would send a message via messages in the app, then they backtracked and said they'd wouldn't offer alternative accommodation

Can imagine it being a lot quieter that normal if other companies have relocated their customers. May be better, nice quiet pool, quiet restaurants, but hope it doesn’t spoil the atmosphere

From what I've seen, the hotel itself and the beach are pretty much as normal with the surrounding area being pretty scorched. Depends on how much time you're spending out of the hotel I guess

@Bullock_Smithey @Paulabrahams1 @OntheBeachUK I'm guessing so. I'm still seeing Mitsis stating hotel they're open on the 1st. I even have a message on here now as well from OTB saying both my flights and hotel are going ahead. OTB all over the place

@joeyakoyork @Paulabrahams1 @OntheBeachUK @OntheBeachUK still selling the Mitsis Rodos Hotel for our dates despite their email to us saying it is closed! Tui are not selling the hotel on these dates I’m assuming the email is another mistake from OTB

@joeyakoyork @Paulabrahams1 @OntheBeachUK Exactly the same. Hotel says open, so this morning we think we are going, then get message from on @OntheBeachUK saying it is closed. We then used the OTB chat function and they couldn’t confirm that email is correct and email and hotel is closed and wait for a call!

@Bullock_Smithey @OntheBeachUK I got in touch with @OntheBeachUK and they then asked the hotel for a refund. The hotel were happy to do this or transfer to the sister hotel Blue Bay. I did this through the online chat. Give it a go, see what you get back 👍

@joeyakoyork @OntheBeachUK It’s the Mitsis Rodos Maris, saw a photo of what looked like the kids pool area burnt completely, no idea of it was a genuine photo or not. It’s the lack of communication that is poor, OTB should keep customers updated even if a final decision hasn’t been made

@Bullock_Smithey @OntheBeachUK Looking like most hotels should be open by the 1st August so hopefully you're OK. What's your hotel? Get in contact with them directly, that's what I've been doing. Onthebeach not been great for communication at all

@Bullock_Smithey @OntheBeachUK The hotel confirmed on their official Facebook page that they are closed if you need any proof for your refund.
