Over the weekend, a player posted a video of them taking advantage of a map issue and going out of bounds to gain access into the Compiler room to ambush a team after they finished completing the encounter.
First off, we will have this issue fixed before Cryo Archive becomes available again.
In the past, we have not taken action against players going out of bounds, but due to this case heavily affecting other players negatively, we'll be reviewing our policies and sharing more details soon. While we don't want to punish players for bugs that they run into by accident, we will communicate more clearly the line that players should not cross when it comes to using these sorts of bugs that could be griefing others.
We will be reaching out to the affected players to grant them compensation for having their successful run interrupted by this issue.

I don't care for the reasoning, this is the lamest shit I think I've seen from the Marathon community. With ALL the issues that map has, to ruin one of the only moments of celebration and relief the game allows just feels awful. I wouldn't blame anyone for uninstalling after that

Cryo Clip of the Week goes to the most HEINOUS, EVIL, and DISGUSTING thing I have EVER done in any video game. If you can get Out of Bounds and you can get into the Compiler loot room. And you can just camp in the room for someone do compiler.....and then kill them.

@Fightincowboy The devs even pay a fortune to the company supplying denuvo in order to add it if I’m not mistaken so they have to believe it’s worth it

The craziest thing about Denuvo is not only has it been proved to negativity impact performance which hurts the experience for paying customers, but it still always gets cracked making it useless.
It's low-key a scam that developers just keep buying into for some reason.

@PaulTassi Marathon is more niche as a extraction shooter so financially it’s less profitable then Destiny, at the same time it doesn’t make sense to abandon a good game like marathon (their new) title no matter what, it’d be unthinkable

Once again this is being reduced to "Destiny should live because he likes it and doesn't like Marathon" not "Should a series with a fanbase spanning a decade be given priority over a game that has fewer players than it after two months with no observable plan to change that"
