🚨⛳️🪦 #NEW — Rory McIlroy on how much legacy motivates him: “I don’t really care… I’ll be long gone, I’ll be dead. I don’t think I’ll be seeing what people say about me I’ll be 6 feet under… I don’t think I’ll be a ghost 👻🤣

you play an exorbitant amount of taxes for a single pair healthcare system….no thank you. Canada’s single-payer system delivers universal coverage at lower per-capita cost than the US but consistently underperforms on speed of access, diagnostic capacity, and timely delivery of specialist/elective care. These gaps arise from supply constraints in a globally budgeted model where government funding limits expansion, creating implicit rationing through queues. The US system has its own serious flaws (high costs, administrative bloat, gaps for the uninsured), but it generally provides much faster access to specialists, imaging, and innovative treatments.

You often hear that Canada’s healthcare system is broken. Yet, millions of Canadians receive treatment everyday free of charge and millions earn their living because of it.

@ronmortgageguy @mistry8kam Lazy guy's goal is to throw out engagement bait. I'm sure even he's smart enough to know that the more of an asshole personality you project, the more engagement you get. X is kinda gross like that.

WTF is This Guy Saying? If The "POORS" Happen To Be Your Family Cut Them Off? Sometimes family members get in bad financial trouble in their lives, often no fault of their own, illness, disability: should we ignore them? And why is Lazy quietly selling courses to people? 2/
Lazy Canadian Entrepreneur@JimChuong

Don’t associate with poors. Poors will claim they’re desperate and justified in stealing from you. 100% of the time. It doesn’t matter if they’re friends or family. Avoid poors. Cut them off. They’re greedy and selfish. It’s not money that reveals who people really are. It’s the lack of money that reveals who people really are. Only hang out with rich, ethical people like yourself.

@GolfTravelerJoe I typically play mid morning. Early enough that the course isn't backed up and I can still get a bit of work done when I get home.

@FringedCanuck This is over a year old and Canada repealed the Digital Services Tax in March 2026. Be smarter, or more honest.

HOLY CRAP 🚨: President Trump declares the U.S. will IMMEDIATELY END all trade talks with Canada after they moved to slap a Digital Services Tax on American tech companies. “We will let Canada know the Tariff that they will be paying to do business with the United States of America within the next seven day period.” Trump wrote on Truth Social: “We have just been informed that Canada, a very difficult Country to TRADE with, including the fact that they have charged our Farmers as much as 400% Tariffs, for years, on Dairy Products, has just announced that they are putting a Digital Services Tax on our American Technology Companies, which is a direct and blatant attack on our Country.” “They are obviously copying the European Union, which has done the same thing, and is currently under discussion with us, also. Based on this egregious Tax, we are hereby terminating ALL discussions on Trade with Canada, effective immediately. We will let Canada know the Tariff that they will be paying to do business with the United States of America within the next seven day period. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

@MarcelloMargott @benpearlgolf Better yet, ask them what distance they played for. Like, "I hit my 150 club." That's the only really accurate way of comparing because everyone hits their clubs differently.

This couldn’t be closer to the truth. I play game improvement clubs because I’m fairly new but I still like to ask buddies what they’re hitting etc to help me gauge what I might hit. When they say “P wedge” etc.. I’m like ok but what’s the loft. That’s all I care about because your P wedge is probably my A wedge lol. All that matters is the loft!

Discussion on the course today. Clubs should be made without the number system, and instead stamped with just lofts. Would solve many ego issues and equipment setup BS

@sarobertson_ Hoekstra is suddenly doing a full court press on Canadian media the last couple of weeks. This isn't something he's chosen to do on his own so I assume Washington is using him to signal a toning down of the rhetoric on both sides would be beneficial at this point.

CTV: I think part of [the tensions between Canada-US] is because of some of the language that your president has used around the relationship with our country. Hoekstra: Some of the language that some of your premiers have used and some Canadians have used, there's fault to go around to both.

Hey anti-net golf nimrods. The entire purpose of the handicap system is to allow players of different skill levels an opportunity to compete against each other. It works great with all my friends. Not sure why you can't figure it out.

@Bullseye_DM @nance410 I have run competitions and handicaps at my last two clubs, and we are all out there for that ‘day in the sun’ when it all comes together. The issue for me is when it seems to happen to the same person over and over because they are ‘managing’ their handicap.

@Gunther_Stahl @nance410 No one who wins on net thinks they're better than the lower cap golfer. I'm cool with casual rounds - probably 90% of my rounds are. But not everyone is like that. Some guys flat out won't play without some action on it.

@Bullseye_DM @nance410 You know you can just play casually, right? Why would I call it a competition, make the better player erase a 10-shot skill gap, then pretend I beat him? Either play someone your level or accept the loss.

I support getting Alberta oil to tidewater. I support selling our resources to open markets. I support Alberta finally getting the full value of what we produce. But I do not support another taxpayer-funded blank cheque for a pipeline that may get buried under politics, delays, cost overruns, and federal conditions before it is ever built. The new west coast pipeline deal sounds good on paper, but Albertans should be asking a serious question: why are taxpayers being put at the front of the line for the bill while private corporations are kept at the back? It should not be to force taxpayers to carry the full cost of another mega-project while politicians get the photo op. There is another option on the table. Alberta can look south through the U.S. Northwest and connect our energy to Pacific export terminals without depending entirely on British Columbia’s politics or another Ottawa-managed pipeline project. That route would still need serious work, approvals, negotiations, and private investment, but that is exactly the point. Let investors invest. Let builders build. Let Alberta sell. We need market access, not another government-owned pipeline experiment. Alberta energy should reach Asia because it makes economic sense, not because taxpayers were forced to gamble billions on political promises.

@nance410 @LeoS1977 Agreed it's rare but golf can be like that. Years ago I was playing to an honest 12 index, and I shot 76 on a course with a 70.6 rating and 130 slope. I just couldn't miss. Chances of that are about 0.5-1%. Shot 90 two days later lol.

@Bullseye_DM @LeoS1977 Agreed. Impossible was too strong a word. Improbable would have been more like it. I meant beating it by several strokes 2-3 days in a row. That being said, the only time I beat my handicap multiple days in a row is when everything is working. Rare to say the least.

@Gunther_Stahl @nance410 If you best golfing buddy is 10 strokes lower than you, are you cool with losing straight up every single match you play with him, possibly for years in a row? At that point you may as well just hand him $20 a week.

Why would a low handicap want to participate in this? I play golf to get better, not to subsidize the egos of 15 handicaps who need a 10-shot DEI package to pretend they beat someone. I’d rather lose like a man than “win” after being handed 10 strokes. Sorry, but if you can’t win straight up, you didn’t win.

@TheSkyisFalli20 @ManceyAus @nance410 Imagine your regular golf buddies are 10 strokes better than you. How often are you going to want to play a match when you know you're always gonna lose? At that point your money is just a donation.

@nance410 @LeoS1977 It's not impossible. Someone with an honest cap will play to their number somewhere around 20-25% of their rounds. Beating that two rounds in a row would be closer to 6-7%. Three rounds in a row is getting down to the 1-2% range.

@LeoS1977 Agreed 100%. I enter every score, no matter what. My friends and I play for bragging rights with handicaps. Tourneys - I do see shady handicaps. In a 2 or 3 day event, no way someone beats their handicap every day. It's statistically impossible.
