I'm fully aware of the capability of AK to do single fire. Most in combat environments will be automatic though. And yes, you can still fire an AR after going in the mud. I've done it many, many times. A jam takes 2 seconds to clear if it does occur which doesn't happen as often as people like to claim. The accuracy more than makes up for it though. The weight difference is pretty significant actually. Assuming a standard combat load of 8 mags at 30 rounds each the weight difference between the two is over two pounds. Two pounds is a significant amount of weight when you have to carry all your other gear with you. Not to mention the physical size they take up. Those banana clips are pretty bulky. Having 8 of them strapped to your body would be much more bulky and harder to maneuver with than AR mags. There's a reason we field strip our MREs. Every square inch of space matters. And honestly, maybe it's just the ones I met but the range instructors were always the worst shooters. If you listened to them you'd almost be guaranteed a pizza box. 🤷

You missed the point retard. If you get tossed in mud one time? Your AR needs to be unjammed. If someone with an AK gets tossed in the mud one time? They can get up and fire in seconds. And btw? Today’s AK’s DO have single action. You haven’t been keeping up with AK, clearly. And you know as well as I do that “mah round size” doesn’t matter AT ALL here. A 556x45 weighs 11.5 to 12.5 grams. 762x39 weighs 16.5 to 18.2 grams. These are GRAMS. A combat kit isn’t going to change drastically to carry any difference. And again, accuracy isn’t the deciding factor between an AK and an AR. The modular capability is. Fuck, that gun you’re carrying in that pic is FOR SURE an MOA of 5 or more. My facts are pretty damn straight thank you very much. Higher accuracy. Smaller rounds means more in the mag. Smaller rounds means I can carry more rounds with me in a combat environment and are lighter so they don't weigh me down as much. I'm more agile while having more rounds on me. Single fire ensures I don't run out of ammo before my enemy who has an automatic and is wasting his ammo spraying and praying. Yes, you can throw an AK in a pile of mud, leave it there for a week and then pick it up and fire it. That's nice. But the better option is to just not get your gun dirty. We sleep with that shit in our sleeping bag cuddled up like it's our teddy bear. I cleaned that gun more than I can cleaned my own ass in the field. Discipline and proper care for your rifle will make the AR platform better in any combat environment.

Germany’s population was 79 million. Chinas current troop count is 2 million. Their population is 1.4 BILLION. So if we do the math? China will have the bodies, training, and weapons required to be a world stage threat. Don’t be retarded and underestimate them because “Mah Murica great”. Our military doesn’t have the recruitment numbers at all and WE ARE IN PEACE TIME. With a population that’s growing tired of constant war. So if we do those maths? Our population for combat is going to be WELL BELOW what we need to compete.

Hate to burst your bubble here fudd, but the AK actually does have more reliability in combat environments than the AR platform. I love AR’s too, but AK beats AR in a lot of areas. It also consistently passes -0 and mud tests vs the AR, which has entire model sets that don’t. AR is good for versatility, NOT ACCURACY. The modular design of the AR platform is what makes it relevant. Get your facts straight.

@RTSG_Main AKs aren't even that good. M16/4 is more accurate. I'd rather have accuracy not to mention single fire which is always better when you have mags and not belts. One 5.56 to the face does the job just as well as 5 7.62s. 🤷
