It was always going to come to this eventually. People were wrong to expect that Alberta would act as a piggy bank for Ontario and Quebec indefinitely.

Something I told 14 yo: There's a kind of politician who tells people "Your life is bad because <outgroup> stole what's rightfully yours. Vote for me and I'll get it back for you." They do it on both the left (Lenin) and right (Hitler), and they're invariably bad news.

Wow. Shocked today to watch the Liberals and NDP vote against protecting the private property rights of Canadian homeowners. When a citizen pays their taxes, follows the law, maintains their property and still cannot be certain that they own their own home, something has gone profoundly wrong. Private property rights are not a luxury, nor an appendage to our system of government. They are not some kind of optional add-on to our society or to our democracy. They are quite literally the foundation on which Western civilization, capitalism and our economy are built. For me, the defence of private property is and always will be a red line. It is in every way a fundamental human right, and we must never submit to trade it away in the name of political convenience. Every citizen deserves to know that their government will do whatever it takes to ensure that Canadians can trust that what they own is truly theirs. Without exception.

A doctor met a guy at a coffee shop, assessed him for MAID, then drove him to the spot where he'd be put down. Horrors beyond comprehension happening just to our north. There's a much better moral argument for invading Canada and deposing its regime than invading or bombing any country 10 thousand miles away. Industrial scale eugenics and mass murder happening right next door.

@scampycaaz @Smileyyeg Per Capita is a useful metric, but it doesn’t mean Alberta contributes *more* money to Canada than Ontario or Quebec. Alberta does not contribute more money than Ontario or Quebec. A wealthy Ontarian contributes more to Equalization than a middle-class Albertan
