Rams and Browns started talking about the Myles Garrett trade since draft time. One of the reasons they selected Ty Simpson in first round was because they knew they’d be without AT LEAST next years one. Rams were hoping to make it all draft capital and fought to not include Verse in deal to the end but he was a necessary Browns. @NFLonFOX

@DonAtkinsonNFL @LombardiHimself 1/2 Seattle lost a handful of players and really didn’t sign anyone to replace them. I see regression in Seattle. McDuffie is top 5 CB, a difference maker. MG is the best DE coming off 23 sacks on a bad team. SF added some good players, but no top 5 players.

A quick 10 mins of “day after the trade” clarity here from @LombardiHimself. Worth a listen. The masses claiming disaster over the Garrett trade to the Rams aren’t seeing the whole picture. Of course no one in SF, SEA or AZ was happy to see him land in LA, but that move is not risk free for the Rams, and it does not magically negate all the positive moves the 49ers have made in this offseason. The Rams must still contend with a minimum of 4 games against SF and SEA, which will not be easy wins, even with Garrett in uniform. Many things will need to go right for LA to get the maximum benefit of big spending on Garrett, and none of those things are even remotely guaranteed. The people yelling “Cope” to anyone who points out the potential opposite side of the coin for the Rams in trading for Garrett are engaging in superficial, lazy commentary. The 2025 Rams had the best offense in the NFL, but their defense ended up costing them a championship. This offseason, they went out and added - Myles Garrett - Trent McDuffie - Jaylen Watson This is going to be one of the best teams we have ever seen play football. No holes.

Brocks career - 26 Games with 30+ Attempts - 7 Games without an INT - 10 Games with Multiple INTs - 33 Total INTs - 39% Chance to throw Multiple INTs - 27% Chance to NOT throw an INT Brock Averages 29 attempts per game in his career. League Average is 32 attempts per game. Guys like Herbert averaged 39 attempts per game in his first four years and turned it over at an astronomically low clip in comparison.

Purdy just wins. He’s 30-15 in his #49ers’ career and 5-3 in the playoffs. He was a winner at Iowa State, going 30-17 and he led them to 4 straight Bowl games. The 1st year w/o Purdy, Iowa State went 1-8 inside the Big12. “He’s not going to do more with less”. What? His #1 WR Jauan Jennings just got WR3 money from the Vikings. His most productive playoff WR was DeMarcus Robinson. George Kittle went out in 1Q in Philly and yet SF still won. The SF WRs had literally zero separation in the Seattle playoff game. Brock operates behind a thoroughly avg OL and his star RB(CMC) avg under 3.5 ypc in 12 games last year. His defense had zero pass rush, tons of injuries at LB and a very young secondary and yet they still went 12-5 and upset the Eagles in Philly. 17th is insulting. 7th is more in line w/reality.
