@Busanitian
Came for atheists & rationalists. Stayed for brilliant women. Disturbed by the tra assault on the rights of women & girls. Left as.

@TraceyLeeHolmes The science isn't contested. There are no safeguarding issues. It's not a human right for men to compete in women's sport.
It is definitely a u-turn. The IOC has consistently screwed its female athletes over. This is now changing.
English

Sex testing is back for the Olympics; u-turn on inclusion first as a starting point.
While the science is contested, the IOC says this is done with science and athlete consensus at its heart.
Some who work in safeguarding and human rights disagree.

@itsamayapapaya @Halloween_ari @the_Limberlost @PopBase Co opting the struggles & rights of others is standard trans nonsense.
English

@Busanitian @Halloween_ari @the_Limberlost @PopBase very! when it comes to anti black activism or even calling out racial slurs they’re mia. or will even excuse the racism.
anyways being born black has zero to do with gender identity and i wish they would leave us out of their fight.

Andrew Garfield shades J.K. Rowling while praising the artists that worked on the ‘Harry Potter’ films:
“[Daniel Radcliffe] is really good in the ‘Harry Potter’ films, the films are really good. I know it’s controversial and we shouldn’t be putting money in the pocket of inhumane legislations right now, through… she who shall remain nameless, […] but there are so many beautiful artists that worked on those films.”

@Busanitian @meltedpotmama @nytimes It would be extremely naive to think that people won’t be wrongfully accused and sue.

Breaking News: Idaho criminalized using bathrooms, locker rooms or changing rooms, that do not correspond to a person’s sex at birth, including at private businesses. nyti.ms/4t7Nijz

@WomenReadWomen Nearly 1000.
Jesus christ.
I did wonder during the French trial how many men were getting ideas.
English

@DrJohnnysFever @inthe250_ Why? Marni is lying.
Women athletes & anyone with any interest in fair competition for women is delighted about a full ban on men in women's sports.
Marni should mind his own business.
English

@inthe250_ You should try reading the entire thread.
Or, you know, literally anything
English

Getting all worked up over 1 athlete are you?
So the ban shouldn’t be a big deal then eh?
Marni Panas 🇨🇦@marnipanas
The IOC’s ban on transgender women is not based on science or evidence. It’s rooted in fear and ideology. Since 2004, over 65,000 athletes have competed at the Olympics—only 1 was a transgender woman—and she didn’t even place. This is not a real problem. It’s a manufactured one.
English

@purselovehall @WBrettWilson Some people dont like unfairness to women & discrimination against women. Not you, but other people.
English

@WBrettWilson Ever notice that men don't care about women's sports unless it is to micromanage who can compete? Go to therapy.
English

So you argue that those with a penis can punch those with a vagina? For me even 1 is too many. This banning is logical.
Trans can compete with trans.
Notice that no trans-men seem to show up to ever compete??

@Busanitian @meltedpotmama @nytimes Gonna be pretty sad when the cops come a running and swab people erroneously. There will be a lot of lawsuits.
English

@pppeee122 @hevelius @nytimes Dedicate your time to whatever you like.
If you want to pretend not to understand that opening up women's spaces to any man who wants in isn't dangerous, that's fine by me. Keep at it.
English

@cartonaut @meltedpotmama @nytimes Your admitted tendancity to violence is why women require spaces away from men.
And no, that scenario ain't it. You just call the cops. Obviously.
English

@Busanitian @meltedpotmama @nytimes Look mom, that dude is clearly a chick. Let’s go confront him.
If someone shoved a cheek swab in my face, I’d beat the ever loving shit out of them.
English

@cartonaut @meltedpotmama @nytimes Eyes & ears. Overwhelmingly.
Otherwise, Passport. Cheek swab.
It would obviously be preferable if men in dresses just obeyed the same rules as everyone else. But you seem to think they can't for some reason.
English

@Busanitian @meltedpotmama @nytimes The only possible outcome is people needing proof that she’s a she. So I ask you, what do you expect to happen?
English

@pppeee122 @hevelius @nytimes In a country of 300 million people, anti-womens rights folks will always find an excuse to put the desires of men above the safety of women & girls.
I don't care if men get sad feelings about women having spaces for women. Why you do is completely baffling.
English

@pppeee122 @hevelius @nytimes Men who pretend to be women don't have to take anything, chop anything or do anything.
They just need to say the word - which is why this is so dangerous.
English

@cartonaut @meltedpotmama @nytimes This all seems like your own feverish dream.
No one wants to see or feel your junk.
English

@Busanitian @meltedpotmama @nytimes Ok so what… they’re gonna just politely ask you “please sir, may I see your penis?”
