A year ago today, the NBA pretty much died to me. I watch about 20% of the Mavs games this season and 1% of NBA national tv games. I used to be at 80-90% Mavs games and 25% national NBA games. I do like Cooper Flagg a lot. My heart can’t get over what Nico and ownership did.

@MikeBacsik That sounds exactly like me. I like Flagg but I just have no interest anymore. I really do not see me ever really caring about the Mavericks again, unless the ownership changed or they found another way to right their wrong. I was a MFFL. Bought jerseys, attended games ect.

This was the plan from before February 1, but we know sports journalists aren’t allowed to entertain certain theories. It never made sense to trade Luka for an injured player. Nor for Lakers to add him. But Luka was needed in LA to boost league ratings, something Silver was desperate to do even just prior to the trade. — What’s in it for the Mavs. Street clothes? No. That was never the whole deal. The Mavs org and Cuban wanted us to get off of Nico’s back and stop being unruly. They didn’t care what Dirk had to say either. What about all the loyalty? Why couldn’t they give Luka warning? Why was it all so quiet? — Because this was Silver!!!!

In 2018 when I was on the Giants, Bonds was in the batting cages before one of our games. We were taking bp like we normally before a game when he out of the blue decides, he wants to take some swings. He steps in the cage wearing slacks and dress shoes. 1st pitch he does his patented bunt(iykyk), then the next pitch he takes this huge hack. You could hear the whip of his bat,unlike anything Ive seen at that present time. He slips from the torque and the slippery dress shoes on the turf and the ball goes straight up into the net above him. Now, There was a tv that was bout 5 feet above the net of our cage. The ball was hit so hard that it hit the tv screen and completely shattered it. Mind you, the ball didnt go thru a hole of any sort. The net just stretched far enough because of Bonds’ power. I say all of that to say this, I believe him😂

@mattmosley It's actually not. Never thought that before. I've been a MFFL for a long time. But this trade just did me in. I'd rather support Luka anywhere, than reward the Mavs with my viewership. Just generally have no interest in the Mavs since the trade happened.

Mavs fans have to be so conflicted. It's impossible not to pull for Luka, but it's impossible to pull for the Lakers.
