@FarrellTweets @MissEGeog Just need large flat area - comes with a way of heating water. Swimming coach was provided by the company - we used it during February and the children loved it.

@WhistleblowingT Completely normal. Will be part of the ‘Managing Attendance’ policy. It should be to identify what support they can put in place to help you return / when you return. You shouldn’t be checking work emails which is why it is sent to your private one.

@WhistleblowingT I think it’s acceptable for you to run the meeting, but if you don’t input absences onto the system it’s not your job to know if / when triggers are met as you won’t have that data.

@LancsSbm @SBLconnect It would help to evidence how/why it is appropriate e.g. if the job has grown from when you started, any new responsibilities, what you have done over & above the original job description. I have done this recently. Happy for you to DM me.

@valerieandrew No parity in pay to other senior leaders despite higher levels of responsibility and extremely challenging workloads.

It’s a real concern to see so many SBM/SBLs leaving their roles - such a lot of invaluable experience being lost to the sector but what is the key reason for this?

@Headteacherchat Two form entry primary school. No committees (except pay & HT review panel). 7 meetings per year which all governors attend.

Can anyone help anon? New head in a small school here. I am interested to hear how frequently you meet for full govs. and how often each committee meets (and which committees they are).

I feel like I’ve finally gotten to a place with my class where routines are embedded, behaviour management is pretty solid and the kids all know the boundaries. Only problem is… it all falls apart when I’m out of class! What can I do to help this?

@RogersHistory We generally pay Mainscale 6 for supply teachers unless there’s a complelling reason to pay more or less. We normally use ‘bank’ staff so would recommend anybody interested in supply teaching to register their details with local schools. As a very last resort we use agencies

How much do UK schools pay to a supply agency per 1 day for a supply teacher?

@AmandaWilson910 £350 for 4 nights / 5 days. Venue is about 30 miles away. Low PP numbers. We use PPG to pay first £100 for eligible pupils. Also fortunate to have a local charity who will help families who struggle with the cost (don’t have to be PP).

I'm interested to know, how much you charged parents for the year 6 residential last year and what would be the most you would charge. For comparison, it would be good if you could let me know roughly how far the venue was from your school. Thanks in advance.

The school won 2nd prize 🏆 for their entry in this years’ town carnival. We chose the theme ‘World Book Day’ to celebrate its 25th anniversary and even better meant that children got to think about their favourite books and wear their costumes again. #worldbookday
