I’m not even sure I should post this, but a friend told me about a wedding she went to last weekend. During the couple’s dance, the groom’s ex showed up in a wedding gown and tried to disrupt things.
What stood out was how calm the bride was. Maybe she already knew about crazy ex.
Apparently no one confronted her or dragged her out. Everyone just ignored her and continued the ceremony. After she finished her display, she got tired and left on her own.
These things really happen in real life, and most don’t even make it online.

For two years now, NAFDAC has refused to answer a simple question from Premium Times: why are companies allowed to falsely market FFMP to Nigerians as milk? Every time it comes up, same playbook — industry deploys influencers to dispute the science. gst won’t stop asking.

I’ve spent weeks working with teams that travelled between Zanka and Vom working on the Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria program. The work of making milk available is not child’s play. And sadly, given our realities, fresh milk alone cannot do the work.
So when I see an article like that, it’s hard not to be frustrated.

@A_Feranmi Thanks for this , I have been trying to explain to them since morning . We dont have the infrastructure nor the supply chain . I see how milk is being supplied to stores in the US and I marveled. The shelf life of the milk is not even upto a month

Yes, fresh milk is ideal. The bioactive components are needed, nobody is arguing that. But a lot of people cannot have access to fresh milk, and that’s just the reality on ground. Infrastructure, supply chains, cost. It’s not simple.
That is why we got a middle ground.

If you read the full Premium Times investigation, the pattern is clear that they are engaging in false advertising. These companies are experts at packaging and perception. FFMP is not milk. Call it what it is: a creamer, a substitute, anything but milk.
