My wife & I are on our honeymoon & our Kaanapali Hotel is being affected by the Lahaina fire. All of our stuff is still at the hotel. We are good for tonight but not sure going forward!

Behind the numbers, there are human beings with human stories. Thaer just wanted to save his 4 yr old son who has leukaemia. Thaer was amongst the 750 humans on the boat many of whom tragically died when it capsized in the Mediterranean Sea. Remember his name: Thaer.

Gutted. Thaer al-Rahal was one of 750 migrants who boarded a trawler & ended up in one of the Mediterranean's deadliest shipwrecks. He needed to get to Europe to earn money to save his 4 yr old Khalid, who has leukemia & needs a bone marrow transplant. Thaer did not survive. 💔
