Once again, a provocation for the sake of provocation: another so-called “humanitarian aid flotilla” with no humanitarian aid. This time, two violent Turkish groups - Mavi Marmara and IHH, the latter designated as a terrorist organization - are part of the provocation.
The purpose of this provocation is to serve Hamas, to divert attention from Hamas’s refusal to disarm, and to obstruct progress on President Trump’s peace plan.
As the Board of Peace - which oversees humanitarian activities in Gaza under UNSC Resolution 2803 - made clear: this flotilla is only about publicity. The Gaza Strip is flooded with aid. Since October 2025 alone, more than 1.58 million tons of humanitarian aid and thousands of tons of medical supplies have entered Gaza.
Israel will not allow any breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza.
Israel calls on all participants in this provocation to change course and turn back immediately.

Today, the @nytimes chose to publish one of the worst blood libels ever to appear in the modern press.
In an unfathomable inversion of reality, and through an endless stream of baseless lies, propagandist Nicholas Kristof turns the victim into the accused.
Israel - whose citizens were the victims of the most horrific sexual crimes committed by Hamas on October 7, and whose hostages were later subjected to further sexual abuse - is portrayed as the guilty party.
This publication is no coincidence. It is part of a false and well-orchestrated anti-Israel campaign aimed at placing Israel on the UN Secretary-General’s blacklist.
Israel will fight these lies with the truth - and the truth will prevail.

Saif Abu Keshek, a leading member of the PCPA - an organization designated and sanctioned by the United States as a Hamas front - and Thiago Ávila, who operates with the PCPA and is suspected of illegal activity, have arrived in Israel. They will be transferred for questioning by law enforcement authorities. Both will receive a consular visit from the representatives of their respective countries in Israel.

Saif Abu Keshek is a leading member of the PCPA, a front for the Hamas terrorist organization. The PCPA is an organization designated and sanctioned by the United States.
Saif Abu Keshek serves as a liaison between senior Hamas officials and international actors, and he assists the terrorist organization in facilitating financial transfers.
He was arrested in Egypt and deported in June 2025. He also faced prior detention for questioning in Tunisia in connection with money laundering and financial irregularities. He is now being brought to Israel for questioning.

As published by the Board of Peace and the U.S. State Department, the humanitarian activity in the Gaza Strip is managed by the BoP, and this Hamas-led-flotilla is another provocation designed to divert attention from Hamas’s refusal to disarm - and to serve the PR interests of professional provocateurs.
The Greek government agreed that the flotilla activists would be disembarked on its shores, and we thank it for that.
Saif Abu Keshek, suspected of affiliation with a terrorist organization and Thiago Ávila suspected of illegal activity, will be brought to Israel for questioning.

Deek, a veteran diplomat with 18 years of experience, most recently served as Israel’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan and was the first Christian ambassador in Israel’s history. He is a recipient of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General’s Award for Excellence. He is a member of the Arab Christian community in Jaffa and has been active in the community from a young age. A short while ago, in full coordination with the local community of Debel in southern Lebanon, the damaged statue was replaced by IDF troops. The Northern Command worked to coordinate the replacement of the statue from the moment it received the report of the incident.
The IDF expresses deep regret over the incident, and is working to ensure that it does not happen again in the future.
