If I were still coaching college basketball today, my recruiting would be intentional and global:
• 45% American and Canadian talent
• 35% Baltics (tough, skilled, well-schooled players)
• 20% Spain, France, Germany, Italy, England
Build relationships there. Build trust there. That’s your pipeline.
And character counts. It matters as much as talent. That’s why NBA scouts are as much private investigators as they are talent evaluators now. When you’re betting your livelihood on the will, discipline, and habits of 18- to 22-year-olds, character is not a bonus, it is essential.

Arizona State guard Anthony “Pig” Johnson plans to enter the transfer portal, source told @TheFieldOf68. The 6-4 senior guard from Birmingham averaged 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. Johnson, a three year non-D1 Participant, will engage in legal counsel to assist with the waiver process. He played at NE Mississippi CC and University of Cumberlands prior to ASU.
