@EmilyMaher11084 Thought exactly the same when I saw the number on the back of his shirt was clearly visible on my TV screen as he joined the ruck. Odd call but what a great result for Italy, thoroughly deserved

Italy are objectively the great story of this wonderful 6 nations championship, but that penalty for Italy at the end to seal the game, was one of the worst calls I can remember to decide a game for some time. I dont think its possible to be more in from the side. #ITAvENG

@EnglandRugby Get him gone. No-one’s ever liked him, and this six nations has been so poor, it’s unforgivable. Sack him after Paris then find a coach who is adaptable and won’t lose every game where plan A doesn’t work.

@jonboy_avfc @EnglandRugby Nah Itoje's was 100% a yellow, I think he wanted Borthwick gone but has also shot himself in the foot by showing a total lack of leadership

@glynnward79NTU Because there's no consistency in officiating, we've seen it in most 6N matches so far this tournament

#ENGvIRE whilst I have no issue with the yellow for Pollock, why did the same referee not issue a yellow card for the two penalty infringements on the Irish line in the build up to England's try before half-time?

As a neutral, and it may be a camera angle thing, I feel like France aren't getting pulled up on forward passes #WALvFRA

@cmclymer The only tragedy here is that everyone is talking about Vonn and not Breezy Johnson for winning the gold.

"Oh, so, you would compete with a torn ACL?" No, I wouldn't, but that's why I'm not an Olympic athlete. I never got up every morning at 4am to train all day for years. Decades. I never froze my ass off while getting yelled at by a coach for small mistakes and asking if I really want this. I never watched my family scrape together money for my training as a kid because I told them this is my dream and they believed in me. I never worked shit jobs during those years of training as a teen and adult to support myself. I never got injured and sucked it up and persevered. So, no, I would not have raced because I'm not about that life and never have been. That's what extraordinary about Lindsey Vonn. She earned her way back onto Team USA through the same grit and excellence that have defined her career. She didn't "steal a spot" from anyone. She's 41 and came out of retirement and bested skiers much younger because she's simply the better athlete who put in the work. She tore her ACL, consulted with medical experts who gave her the green light, decided to forge ahead, looked great in her training runs, and she was absolutely competitive for the medal stand. That's the tragic irony of all this: she crashed because of something that could have happened to any skier, not because of her knee. She knew something like that could happen, yet she still competed fearlessly. As she's always done. It's why she's an Olympian, and you aren't.

If Lindsey Vonn were male, none of you would be saying it’s reckless or stupid for trying. You’d celebrate manhood and bravery. And let’s be really real. If she were ugly, you’d be all for her going for it. I’ll wait for my follows to drop. Bye

It was not "brave" to compete with a ruptured ACL. It was hubris and ego and horrible judgment. When I heard she was skiing on a torn ACL I thought to myself "she's going to fall". A fall like what she just had could impact her for life. I have so many friends who have spent months on crutches and years in pain due to ACL tears. I hope everybody watching does some soul searching on how we just let an American heroine and top athlete put their future mobility at risk -- and everybody applauded her. She may be limping for life after that fall. apple.news/AI9dNuUW-TX-jQ…

Lindsey Vonn should NEVER have been cleared to race at the Olympics. Credit to her for toughness but she tore her ACL a week ago. Allowing her to compete was reckless and stupid. Hope she’s okay but that was a bad fall.

@juvetino96 @Pete_Martuneac Her crash had nothing to do with it. Her arm got hooked in the gate she was passing… majority of their skiing stability is in their thighs and hips, not the knee. Between how she has trained and a brace, she was cleared. Her training runs show she was doing well.

@UtUtUtUt__ Totally agree. It's been 10 years since Ashton Gate was redeveloped, we've gone nowhere since

People really need to stop using stadiums and training grounds as signs of success in sports, it means jack all. Clubs have been promoted to the Prem whilst playing in sheds and still now only look at development many years later, it’s not a priority

You don’t need to develop your stadium for promotion. It’s owners and recruitment that matter. Would you rather be a Bournemouth, Burnley fan etc with Prem football and an average stadium or a Bristol city fan with a nice stadium but one of the most boring clubs in England?
Mike stone@Mikesto43596440

@KaiserBCFC_ @BristolCity Knob. Be careful what you wish for. Without Lansdown where do you think we would be ? The money he has invested, training ground, the stadium. You’re very short sighted. Would YOU invest your hard earned money like he has. Give your head a wobble

@bnajoe96 Because they have no ambition, too busy focusing on the other sports teams they own that have but a fraction of the fanbase that City has
