As we emphasize on extending integrated programming & the extending our impact, @PEERUganda is pushing towards investing in structured skilling & entrepreneurship ecosystems to enable young people & youth to transition into productive, self-reliant, & sustainable livelihoods.

We also explored the importance of integrating practical life skills and business development support within existing youth programming in various sectors, and strengthening linkages between training institutions, the private sector, and community structures.

We emphasized the need to strengthen demand-driven skills development that is aligned to labour market needs, alongside promoting entrepreneurship incubation, mentorship, and improved access to start-up capital for youth-led innovations.

I had an engagement with Dr. Faith Mirembe Katana, Special Presidential Assistant on Skilling & Education, and Head of the Presidential Initiative on Skilling the Girl & Boy Child at State House Uganda. The discussion focused on advancing skilling & entrepreneurship for youth.

Men are key to achieving an HIV-free generation. When young men and boys are empowered with the right information, support, and services, they make informed decisions, support their peers, families, and strengthen communities. #PEERUat10
