Craig Breslow has absolutely zero clue how to evaluate offensive prospects. Remember when he insisted on offering Franklin Arias in a trade for Ketel Marte instead of Marcelo Mayer?
Just a few months later, Mayer is rocking a 61 wRC+, and Franklin Arias is putting up better numbers in Double-A than Xander Bogaerts did.

The Red Sox are in the market for a right-handed hitter with thump. Last year, they gave up Blaze Jordan, a former 3rd round draft pick, for two months of Steven Matz. Jordan, 23, has a Class AAA slash line of .317/.378/.537 so far this year, with 8 homers, 14 walks, 20 Ks. Chaim Bloom knew the player.

Nationals have one of the best young offenses in baseball and are coming out of a rebuild but still desperately need high-end young pitching.

pitching isn’t the problem on this team. He could have given up two runs & they still would have lost.
