I’m a storyteller || Former @JSZ_Sports, @TwoRiverTimes || NJPA Award-Winning Journalist

@DaveIgbinosun talked about winning a State championship for Union High School back home in New Jersey. Told him I covered high school football back in the day, mentioned Don Bosco and Bergen Catholic, to which he quipped with a smile: “Ohhh, the Big North.”

The updated @MLBPipeline Top 100 is here 👀 📈 The @Mets are one of four teams with two players in the Top 25 🤠 Nolan McLean is the only pitcher in the Top 10 🔝 McLean is the highest-ranked Mets prospect since Francisco Alvarez (No. 3 on the 2023 preseason ranking)

As many of you now know, Friday was my last day at Jersey Sports Zone. For the last seven years, I traveled around the state covering athletics for a living. It was a dream come true. (1)

Today is the final day of Jay Cook's tenure at Jersey Sports Zone. Over the past seven years, Jay has been one of New Jersey's most influential journalists with his storytelling and incredible eye for shining the spotlight on countless athletes around the state. We are sad to see Jay leave us and wish him and his family the best in the future. JSZ will work hard every day to maintain the standard that Jay created in covering high school sports in New Jersey. Jay Cook's tribute reel could be a few hours but here's just a small sample of the impact he had at Jersey Sports Zone @ByJayCookNJ
