Speaking to the lost, through the art of redemption. No sermons. Just stories that hurt, until they heal.

Here’s the original post created by @NickAdamsinUSA 1) Proper context: Trump didn’t make it. 2) Proper interpretation: the meme creator said it means Trump is healing a Christian nation. 3) Would there be less outrage if Trump was presented as a Hindu Brahmin or Buddhist monk or Muslim imam instead? Of course it’d be ridiculous. He’s a pro-Christian leader. Dress him up like a Christian disciple. 4) Look at the date. 5) It only took 2 months for the snowflakes to notice and go into meltdown. 6) For whatever reason, Trump has done more to expose the heart conditions of men than any person since Jesus Christ. If you meet Jesus, you had to take sides. Crucify Him or die for Him. It’s hard to be indifferent about Jesus. Trump makes the hysterical crowd shout, “Crucify him! Crucify him!” I know many will be glad when he is gone. It’s sick. The day will come, and we will see public euphoria as demonic as the day Jesus died. And they will be disappointed to find out God was not cheering with the mad masses. 7) Trump’s existence and the reactions he evokes helps illustrate Bible truths I could not imagine before. This is better than Mel Gibson’s depiction in The Passion of the Christ. 8) This too shall pass. God will prevail. Americans, stop being emotional. The battle for freedom of speech/ conscience/ religion/ travel/ trade needs stalwart troopers, not fair weather friends.

@zalveiz @GPrime85 Then explain to my stupid ass why it’s totally ok. Please, enlighten me. The only people he is “Trolling” is his voter base, who are Christian en masse. So please, fill me in on how this is a beneficial strategy for Trump.

The word “Christian” has been diluted to near-worthlessness, abused by countless charlatans who display zero spiritual fruit. I’d call myself a sinner in need of forgiveness who places his trust in the living Christ, but maybe I’ll discover a shorter word for that. Is that sufficient, or do I need to file an application with you first?

@GPrime85 @conservmillen I thought you weren't a Christian? Did something change?

@LoisMcLatch No Christian should defend this. Bottom line. It doesn’t matter who is doing it, it’s abhorrent.

@JdavisWx @PastorSteve @NickAdamsinUSA Well, it’s not. The same arguments used to justify Trump doing this apply to the Obama version. Neither are ok, no matter who does it, and it’s ridiculous that people will defend it, just because of who is doing it.

@zalveiz @GPrime85 So you find it funny that a world leader compared themselves to Jesus Christ? Just so I know where you stand. If you find it funny that’s your call.

@BygoneSinner @GPrime85 Oh, I see. So you took that as literal and not tongue in cheek then? What are the odds he was literally comparing himself to Christ and not just trolling someone. Or are you too thick to understand humor?

@zalveiz @GPrime85 Christ was and is infallible, to equate yourself to Christ is saying that exact thing.

@Tytanisx @Burrito_Queen7 @ChristianPunsOG I don't think it's unreasonable, or over reacting to point out hypocrisy when it's very present in these situations. It should be called what it is, no matter who does it. This isn't a political line issue, it's calling out what is wrong, when it's wrong.

i've not come across anyone who's been perfectly fine with it. most of us feel awkward/uncomfortable about it. you seem to be digging too deeply into this. the man often has people praying over him in person, is rededicating America to Christ Jesus, keeps doing things for Christians not only in America but around the world, whether making life better or saving lives. and thus, i take his antics with a grain of salt. so yes, "awkward" seems appropriate, and anything more, seems like "digging too deeply into it". until i feel a pull from the Lord, I was remain somewhat neutral about this. neither happy about it, nor going out of my mind over how inappropriate it might be.

@Tytanisx @Burrito_Queen7 @ChristianPunsOG Yes Christianity is constantly under attack, I’m not ignorant to that. My issue is with the individuals who claim to be ok with its mockery or make an excuse for it, because of who is doing the mockery.

happens all the time. there's a dude that walks around dressed as Jesus, and claiming to be him in gentle mock; no one cares, we look at him and smirk. it happens all the time; Christianity, and Christ Himself is mocked daily, there was a parade not long ago, depicting the devil mocking and torturing Christ. but you are right about one thing! people only care about this because its Trump, and its the "fun" thing to dogpile on him. anyone else, and not an eyelash shall flutter! you may claim to not care about political divides; but your posts scream it.

I have a difficult time believing that. I’m not saying that it’s totally ok for any one to do it. I’m saying that NO ONE should be depicting themselves as Jesus Christ. I don’t care about the political faction. The fact that people defend it, because of who it is, is where I take issue here.

President Trump needs Jesus just as much as all of us do. Instead of attacking him, as Christians, we are called to pray for him and for our nation. Let’s not be carnal Christians, like those the Apostle Paul rebuked in Galatians.

@kellibrookee @Annakhait Agreed, sorry for missing the context. From my understanding what she is stating isn't at all what Paul considered a "Carnal Christian" to be at all. So yes I agree it is gaslighting.

@Burrito_Queen7 @ChristianPunsOG I don’t think if rolls were reversed the outrage would be minimal. I’m not defending the act on either side, the fact that people are defending it at all is the problem here.

@FatherofJames @PastorSteve @NickAdamsinUSA @BarackObama I don’t disagree. If people are outraged by the “Obama Version” They should be outraged by the “Trump Version”. Anyone who claims to be Christian should be able to see the hypocrisy here. Anyone defending the Trump one, should be able to apply the same arguments to the Obama one.
