Grimsby Town’s Blundell Park is my favourite football ground in England. I went there to tell you, in ten parts, the reasons why and why these places matter so much. inews.co.uk/sport/football…

I need persuading that X / Twitter is worth continuing with - It seems to have become very political of late - politics has become something I don't enjoy - My love of aviation seems to be contaminated with modern life !

Dubai is the most ethnically diverse place that I've ever lived in. It is a champion of multiculturalism. So, how does Dubai manage to get it so right whilst the UK and other Western countries get it so wrong? Firstly, Dubai has fostered a culture where there is a high expectation of good behaviour towards all peoples. Secondly, Dubai celebrates diversity of nationality, religion, and culture. One of the first questions you'll be asked in Dubai is: "Where are you from?" And thirdly, Dubai protects the identity, culture, and economic status of its own citizens. Dubai has opened its arms to foreigners, who now largely outnumber Dubai's own citizens. As a foreigner, you can buy property in Dubai, own a business, get married, have children, and even retire. But none of these things give you an automatic right to citizenship. Dubai's population is forecast to grow beyond 5 million by 2030, and over 85% will be foreigners. Dubai's economy will continue to grow faster than most Western economies, benefitting its foreign residents as well as its own citizens. Whilst birds of a feather flock together, Dubai proves that we can all work together successfully when our identity and origin are celebrated rather than denied. Yes, its government puts its own citizens first, but most British people just want their government to put them first, too. After all, isn't that the first responsibility of any government?

As "Jasper Carrot" is trending. It's worth telling the story of an interviewer asking his daughter (actress Lucy Davis), why she hadn't taken her father's name. Her reply, at what point did you think Carrot was the real name?

Path to the F-16s. Since the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine has been asking its partners to close the skies or provide aircraft. We knew it was achievable, that the world has the power to make it happen. We combined political, diplomatic, and military efforts for this purpose. Gradually, step by step, we managed to achieve the result. F-16s are already in Ukrainian skies, and there will be more.

They don’t. Believe me. Why do you talk such utter shite? And why are you morphing into a sovereign individual anarcho-capitalist narcissist with fascist leanings? Some journey you’ve been on.

@LeoKearse Why does the UK media, with a few exceptions, just parrot the government?

I didn’t know that you were racist Till I saw you on the news Running out of JD sports With a pair of Nike shoes I didn’t know that you were racist Till it showed you standing there Beside that guy in a football shirt With your right arm in the air I didn’t know that you were racist Till I watched you kick that door Of the cafe in botanic Where we had lunch before I didn’t know that you were racist But I’m sure I heard you shout That you hated all the immigrants And wanted them burnt out I didn’t know that you were racist When last talking to your wife She said, that doc’s from Pakistan The one who saved your life I didn’t know that you were racist I never knew you held those views But alas my friend you’re dead to me Since I saw you on the news fight racism- fight fascism- fight hatred - fight discrimination and division.
