@sholard_mancity The poorer the country, the more excesses by those in power. Finlands president often flies business class on regular flights. Sometimes it can't work because of tight schedule, distance with difficult transfers and so on. But if Ruto wanted, for sure he could save a lot of money

Today we reveal that William Ruto flew to Azerbaijan on a chattered private jet T7-BBJ2. Not the usual T-70 aircraft many of us are used to tracking. We tracked it leaving Nairobi. It landed early this morning EAT. Now here is where the questions begin. Jets in this category can reportedly cost about $18,000 per hour on the lower end and rise beyond $30,000+ per hour. That could place the trip cost in the tens of millions of shillings one-way. Kenyans are being told to tighten belts. Families are struggling with taxes, fuel and the cost of living. Europa kommer tyvärr ytterligare en gång på ganska kort tid behöva möta konsekvenserna av att i dagens omfattning låta gas vara marginalprissättaren på den europeiska elmarknaden. En direkt konsekvens av riktningen mot mer intermittent elproduktion i systemet. Våren är åtminstone här, men de europeiska gaslagren är nästan tomma.

@FabricePezous @SimeonResearch_ They have several patents regarding how to formulate the substance and also how to make it work with other ingredients. Plus that it would be at least a 10 year process for a new company to go through the process of getting the permits required on any market.

Revisiting the Thesis $itech.st 🇸🇪 My latest post about properly assessing negative catalysts was a direct reference to this post, which I wanted to make after ITECH had a very bad quarter, resulting in a drop of around 30% When the catalysts are negative then it is time to examine what is going on and what the markets/investors' concerns are, The facts are as follows based on the latest quarter ✅️ - Gross up 6 basis points by Manufacturing/producer diversification - EU SCPB extended Selektope’s EU market approval by one year (plus a great - Core demand is still okay, PPG (one of their biggest clients) has an 172% ytd increase in offtake, there was also very strong demand showcased in the previous 2 quarters. Charter rates were maintained at 25k per day, smaller clients below the top 2 are growing (nice diversification) - They are used in 3000 of 110.000 ships, a year ago same figure was 2500, penetration is increasing. - Management does not anticipate a softer market - New product coming - Currently, out of all the paint companies only 2 don't have an active product with the selektope ingredient ⛔️ - One of their clients is in financial trouble, meaning many fewer orders, which is not ideal as this is a very small industry with very few players (which works both in their advantage and disadvantage) - Inventory build-up on another key client will likely result in less sales - Margins & growth contracted due to weak sales (-26%) & EBIT (-53%), ever weaker figures in QtQ figures - Newbuild contracting in H1 2025 is below 2024 levels Cyclicality or not? 🤔 First and foremost I do believe that sooner or later after the latest quarters were that strong and given how sky-high expectations were, a quarter like that was coming. After all, they operate in a cyclical industry, but they aren’t a pure cyclical play as they do have both paint maintenance (existing ships) and acquiring new clients (this is cyclical) segments. This is not the first (nor the last) time the company has been under fire with similar conditions, examining 2 similar weak quarters in 2023 (54% drop) due to regulations risks with the active ingredients inside Selektope the and in 2024 (25% drop) due to weaker sales. After both of these subpar results, they bounced back with much better results. That said it is not all sunshine and rainbows, even if we look past FX which indeed contributed negatively to these results this is the biggest slowdown in sales growth the company has ever seen, it is worth monitoring closely. But indeed outside factors (timing, FX) played a role. Management prefers not to give forward-looking guidance nor will they notify ahead of and how you view it personally, this can't be both helpful and not helpful, I personally prefer a bit more detailed future guidance. Verdict 💡 However, due to the nature of the results, I will examine very closely the next 2 quarters while being ready to make drastic decisions, long term thesis still stands (but somewhat weaker) as the core business still improved but they are likely to deliver less sales growth in the next 2 quarters. It was priced for much higher growth than it delivered. New products and increased sales with smaller clients are the right steps in my view.

I-Tech has about 1 % of its sales in EU...so a negative decision will in practice have zero impact on revenue and profit. So I can´t see much uncertainty connected to this issue. I-Tech is still in an early phase of revenue growth, a five time increase in revenue is very realistic

I recently looked into $ITECH and added it to my watchlist but this Q2 numbers are terrible 🤯 Revenues -26% and EBIT down 53%. The company operates in a very cyclical sector therefore I find it really hard to value it. I think I'm gonna take it out of my watchlist.

@SimeonResearch_ I´ve been owning I-Tech stock since 2018. I think you should factor in that they have a very solid main owner....Pomonagruppen. They have a long view on their investments. Also, I-Tech is looking to broaden their business and some developments can be expected this year.

$EVO.ST for some reason has all the spotlight in Sweden but there are many way better niche businesses growing over 20% a year while dominating niche areas, that deserve more attention. 🤔 One of my favourites being $ITECH.ST YTD - 87% and I am up 37% on my position 🎯 They have complete control of a very unique niche 👇 ❓️The problem they solve is simple, barnacles get attached to ships costing them speed thus time, more fuel thus costs, and trouble with very strict environmental laws, especially in Europe. 💡Their patented chemical solution is mixed with the ship paint Already 3k ships use the product and it is close to a razor and blades model as the ships need constant repaint done every few years, Given that 100 mil litres of paint are used per year the TAM is very large in my opinion. Here is a crazy statistic just 10% barnacle coverage causes 36% more field consumption, given that 90% of goods are transported through Europe the growth case is pretty solid. The weaker part of the thesis is that the management does own a significant stake in the company, and this is the reason why I keep it as a smaller position. Because you read till the end I increased my $ACP.WA position at 206 per share 🤝

@sockerfarbror @meeijer There's not much maket in eu compared to Asia since majority of new build and dry docking takes place in Africa. Also, what EU decides regarding selektope won't matter to other countries, especially in Asia, since they have a pragmatic approach and selektope is very effective

@olof_stranding Det skulle vara bra att få höra hur USAs tullar kan påverka koncernen Acuvi och hur ni kan mitigera eventuella konsekvenser. Det är stora oklarheter kring detta såklart, men det vore bra om Q1-rapporten har med de klargöranden som kan ges för närvarande.
