We had the privilege to volunteer at the For the People Task Force’s food and toy distribution on Saturday morning in Corona. We had an excellent California Association for Bilingual Education - CABE Riverside Chapter 6 general meeting last Monday where our chapter gave away three of six $250 scholarships to Riverside County Office of Education Bilingual Authorization Candidates for them to purchase books and supplies. We also heard Corona-Norco Unified School District Superintendent Dalia Gadelmawla tell her immigrant and language explorer journey. Done! 500 bicycles for children were put together by volunteers from the community. Retired teacher leader started this non-profit over a decade ago and has given away over 11,000 bicycles to children who don’t have bikes or the opportunity to have one.
