While attention is rightly focused on the severe humanitarian crisis unfolding in the south & east of #Lebanon, poachers in the north are exploiting the security vacuum & targeting these weary travellers as they navigate one of the world's most hazardous "bottleneck" areas …

So, #Lebanon - birds know no borders & the spring migration is in full swing along the eastern Mediterranean flyway. Right now, thousands of White Storks & other protected species are funnelling through the Levant, running the gauntlet toward their breeding grounds in Europe …
