@dadmann_walking I agree. 4 months ago cancer was the last thing on my mind. Now it’s my everyday reality. But, now I have an appreciation for the small things I took for granted. It also realigned my priorities. My wife & grandchildren were always important, but now they’re all that matters.

I am not the same person I was 3 months ago. If anything, I've grown, I'm healing, my beliefs have changed, I want more out of life, I found something I've never had before.

@AdeleScalia We both enjoyed car time with the kids, coaching their sports teams, and being one of the few houses where all the kids liked to hang out. As good as those times were, it’s exponentially better doing some of the same things with our grandkids!🤩🥰😁

Also I don’t want anyone waking me up at 6 am. And with a smoothie? Get the hell out of my room.

The best part of my day is driving my kids around. We have so much fun in the car playing DJ on Spotify, going to get Starbucks, and having our “McDonald’s and coke” drives where we all get fries and cokes and just drive around and chat. She’s missing out.

Hugs are criminally underrated. I could live in a good hug forever.

@jessibridges That’s beautiful. My wife and I are planning to do the same soon. Grandchildren are too wonderful to miss the big and little moments and victories.

My mom, a boomer and grandmother to my 5 children, just moved into that house (2 doors down) from across the country. Say what you want about grandparents from that generation but some of them are gold.

The lady working the front desk when I checked into our beach condo today told me I was a great dad for bringing my kids here for a week. you just never know how much what you say to someone can mean because she has no idea my wife died 2 months ago and I am struggling. Those words meant everything to me today.

@DexterHonore The best source of information on appliances is an experienced independent appliance repair technician. Ask which brands they own and which they would never purchase.

This is my rant/review post. We remodeled our kitchen about 5 years ago. We purchased Samsung appliances . Terrible decision. The fridge is garbage. Where the ice maker is installed , it creates a constant problem. Fridge has been serviced at least 7 times. The 36” cooktop 👇
