It's with much sadness that I share that my mom, Flori, died peacefully today after fighting a 16 year fight with stage IV breast cancer. Despite all hardship, she was very clear that she never wanted anyone to say that she "lost her battle",

@What_Doubelieve @LibbyMbc You’re not helpful. There are many ways to manage nausea sans steroids and she may not even have nausea. Not everyone does. I have to block you. Byeeee.

@CANsurvive @LibbyMbc Steroids don’t react well with blood thinners, which I believe she is on now as well as the other meds.

This whole thing is such a cluster fuck. Today told that I will now have to be on blood thinner for life because I had these blood clots. Yea blood thinner is a fantastic combination with chemotherapy. 👍 Then my doctor saying I'm not really strong enough for enhertu, when before this surgery she never said that. She always said we were working towards enhertu. Which I waited months for thanks to Canada. I really regret this surgery. Really really regret. She says I have only months to live. So you put someone through a horrible surgery with only months to live. 😡 she seems to be even more sure I'll be dead soon since this surgery. I asked her if I should do the surgery before I was rushed into it and she said yes, and now it's fucked everything. Apparently, I would have broken my leg if I hadn't done it - yes well being dead because I did do it is even worse. I'm so furious and let down Doctors in Canada don't offer hope ever.

@CANsurvive I've had a lot of similar thoughts. Then I get stuck on "I won't miss anything because I won't be here to miss it." it's a strange kind of comfort for me. I hope you are finding comfort wherever you can 💜

@ThanksCancer I have a family member that eats Cheetos and drinks coke and sugary coffee drinks every day, no cancer. I avoided sugar a lot (mostly to manage weight) ate ALL the blueberries, cancer. Explain that muggles.

If sugar caused cancer, everyone would have cancer.

@NancysPoint @DrAttai After that consult w expert and plan I decided to ignore the worry. Here I am +26 yrs w only slight swelling at times in elbow. Dancing and staying active worked for me. Massage during elbow flair. Sleeve nvr helped. Not worrying + a plan w a provider was heaven.

@NancysPoint @DrAttai One of the best things I did was have a consult w LE expert and make a plan if I should develop LE. It helped put it in perspective. I had full lymph node dissection (20 node NEG) plus rads plus lumpectomy olden days. All everyone IRL supprt groups talked abt was LE.

Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I try to remind myself: No one has any idea what the hell they’re doing. Some people are just better at putting on a brave face and marching forward into the unknown.

Any info on subcutaneous hydration? I’d rather just have regular hydration. I’ll bet dollars to donuts it’s a money thing. 🍩💵
