Republicans canceled a vote to end Trump’s Iran war. They were about to lose, so they refused to let us vote. Americans deserve to know where their leaders stand. They can’t hide forever. Accountability is coming.

@DemocracyDocket Gerrymandering based upon the color of one’s skin has ALWAYS been racism. Democrats need to do the same thing with this brain dead narrative that they did with the Epstein files: move on.

“The Callais decision was the worst decision of my lifetime,” Marc Elias said. Marc explains how Republicans will try to use the Supreme Court decision gutting the Voting Rights Act to delegitimize any community of Black voters electing their candidate of choice.

The lawyers, lifer bureaucrats and former bartenders we keep electing are good at two things: writing laws that apply to everyone but themselves, and conning the American people into thinking that they're qualified to do those jobs. They're not. They do NOT have the management skills, economic knowledge, fiscal discipline, common sense or morals required to manage other people's money and the world's largest economy. At this juncture, we'd best look for seasoned business people - Fortune 100 CEOs, CFOs and COOs - who have the skills necessary to try and save us from economic collapse.

Just when you think Donald Trump can’t get any more corrupt, he leverages the DOJ to create a $1.7 Billion slush fund to pay himself and his cronies.

Trump never has money for healthcare or VA staff or anything to actually make Americans’ lives better — but somehow found $1.8 billion to reward his allies with your tax dollars. That's corruption, plain and simple.

Folks in Oregon and across the country are shouldering the cost of skyrocketing gas prices thanks to Trump's illegal war with Iran. A new Brown University report shows consumers have already spent over $40 BILLION extra on gas since the start of the war. Just wrong.

President Trump created a nearly $1.8 billion slush fund for his buddies, including January 6 insurrectionists who attacked law enforcement officers. How about doing things the American people actually want, like ending the Iran war and lowering costs?

I’m proud of my reputation as a bipartisan legislator, but as long as we have a Republican party full of Trump acolytes, and until we get a Republican party that’s willing to find a backbone, we’ve got to win decisively in November.

I know the answer: you, your fellow Democrats, and Little Teddy Lieu don’t give a damn about pedophiles or incestuous perverts. You put one in the White House. A real one - outed by his own son and daughter. And you got plenty from the Epstein files, and you’ve given them a pass because most are Democrats. What you care about is feeding your TDS. Move on, Rob. If you haven’t noticed, Little Teddy Lieu and his whiny, complaining, finger-pointing, tables turning Democrat peers have.

Dear @RepRalphNorman: Please watch this video. You and I were Members of Congress when January 6 happened. Remember? Happy to bring police officers who were assaulted on January 6 to your office so they can explain to you how they got their injuries.

Rep. Norman: January 6th was an issue that was made up in the first place. Reporter: Made up? Norman: That was a staged thing from day one. Reporter: The riot was staged? Your Republican colleagues barricaded themselves in their chamber. You think they were acting?

January 6th was still a violent attack on our democracy. It was still a failed attempt by this president to stay in power. It still ended with the certification of Trump's loss. Wiping website pages and giving $1.8 billion to insurrectionists won't change the facts.
Meryl Kornfield@MerylKornfield

The Trump admin is quietly deleting info about the Capitol attack from the DOJ website as it prepares to give funds to J6ers. This week, DOJ deleted a press release about one man with an ongoing child solicitation case who came to the Capitol with bear spray. Before and after:

This Ebola outbreak is heartbreaking and infuriating. Thanks to Trump’s reckless leadership, we’re seeing the devastating consequences of gutting USAID and slashing global health programs — the very systems designed to keep us safe.  Because of these thoughtless cuts, America is less prepared for public health emergencies like this outbreak. op: @AaronParnas

Ossoff: I am hearing from Republicans who come up to me on the street, or they approach me at the airport, or maybe they have my number and they give me a call, and they're telling me that they are voting for a Democrat for the first time this year because they've just had enough. The abuses of power, the blatant self-enrichment and corruption, while the American people face all-time high prices for rent and groceries and a meal out at a restaurant and the power bill — the people have had enough. And I believe that a mighty wave is building to rebuke these abuses of power and to restore checks and balances.

We need to end the war in Iran. Congress cannot sit on the sidelines while President Trump drags us deeper into a conflict with no end in sight. Every day this war continues, it mounts in costs, depletes our munitions, and erodes our national security.
