First and foremost, I want to extend my thoughts and prayers to officer Travis Brown and wish him a speedy recovery. The goal of the movement is to highlight the systemic issues that have oppressed marginalized communities like ours for decades. The unfortunate incident that occurred Friday night should not diminish the many milestones we have achieved over the past ten years. As an elected official who emerged from the Ferguson movement, I am committed to continuing the conversation and building bridges as we move toward progress.

This is so wild. In the whole city of Stl there’s only 530 people in the cage without any reasonable rise in violence. Shout out to all the comrades that’s been working to decarcerate stl since 2017. There’s still so much work to be done. Abolition is possible.
