Together with his family, we resolved to rally support for a fundraising initiative to enable him to access specialized medical care abroad. This is Mercy Wanjiru walitoka church na mama yake then akapigiwa simu na rafiki akaambiwa Kuja tupige Sherehe hapa tunnel Mombasa road. Mercy was so happy akaenda. The following day, she was found brutally tortured and unconscious about three kilometres from the club where the birthday party had taken place, she had a deep cut on the head and lower abdomen. Both her arms were also broken. CCTV footage showed Mercy enjoying time with her friends at the club before one of them is seen leaving and boarding an Uber, leaving her behind. She is later seen trying to convince a boda boda rider to take her home, but they failed to agree on the fare. The rider is then seen picking up another customer, leaving Mercy behind. No one knows what happened in btw untill she was found the next day tortured and unconscious where she was taken to hospital and has been in the ICU since then untill juzi when she passed on. The family is seeking justice.

Consolata Githinji was a student from a very humble background. Yet somehow, she lived a life that very few can afford. One weekend she would be in Malindi, the next in Zanzibar, Diani or Kisumu, and dining in Nairobi’s posh hotels, among other places. Some time back, I remember vividly that Shaffie Weru was fired from Homeboyz Radio for advising ladies to love themselves, because not every man is mentally stable. He gave a very good example,, if someone facilitates your transport from Thika to Naivasha, why would you expect that he won’t demand something in return? Most of the time you’ll meet a sane person and nothing happens, but if he is unstable or a little tipsy, he can do anything to you. Anyway, we are not justifying gender-based violence, but ladies need to love themselves and be careful. RIP Connie.

It is now reported that Consolata Githinji, the 22-year-old Murang'a University of Technology student, met Odhiambo on a dating website. After exchanging messages almost daily and reaching an agreement, Consolata travelled 85 kilometres to Nairobi last Saturday, April 25, for her first physical meeting with the 33-year-old man, with whom she spent the night. A few hours later, Consolata Githinji was reported dead after falling from a sixth-floor apartment in Kileleshwa, with CCTV footage placing her at the scene at around 4:16 AM. If you are a girl reading this, exercise caution. Live within your means, avoid rushing into meetings with strangers, and do not let temporary comfort put your safety at risk. No short stay, quick money, or soft life is worth your life.
